Killbuck Valley Hound of the Year
Killbuck Valley Hound of the Year 2015
1. Any hound that has been paid ($10.00 per hound) into the Killbuck Valley Hound of the Year race shall be eligible.
2. The point system shall be as follows:
A. 1 point for each hunt entry
B. 1 point for each show entry
C. 5 points for cast/first round hunt win
D. 5 additional points for overall win
E. 5 points for best of breed win in show
3. The top 4 hounds at the end of the year will be invited to a runoff between these hounds to determine the overall winner. The runoff will be UKC Hound and Hunter format and will follow all UKC rules and guidelines. The final cast will be 90 Minutes.
4. Judges for the runoff will be selected by the Killbuck Valley Club and a minimum of 2 judges will be used for the runoff.
5. The runoff must take place between the last hunt date and January 1st of the upcoming year. Killbuck Valley will try to make all efforts to accomidate the 4 hounds in the runoff schedule. In a case where all hounds cannot agree on dates, Killbuck Valley Club will set the runoff date.
6. Killbuck Valley runoff will be $10.00 per dog. There are not a minimum number of hounds you can enter. In a case where dogs are owned by the same person in the runoff, a handler for each dog must be assigned.
7. The overall winner of the runoff will receive an embroider Dan’s jacket.
