Well...it's like this. If you were to call the registration department they will tell you that any dog that was litter registered is not eligible to be single registered. That you would need to go through the duplicate process to recover those lost puppy papers.
However...to the best of my knowledge, you will not find that rule in print. Nor will you see any restriction on the coonhound single registration form that requires you to verify the dog was never litter registered. And a hound with unknown parents may be registered as X-Bred.
Therefore...you see where I'm going with this?
