Lonesome
Lonesome, was out, of a spotted walker dog, out of the mountains of kentucky, and a registered black&tan female. He was black headed, mostly white, with small black ticks, on him. I handled him one summer when i was 16 or 17 years old, i lost one cast, i didn't call the dog right. The summer before, they hunted him in the ACHA World hunt, he won his cast all three nights, at Oblong, Ill. but he didn't have enough points, to get in the top twenty, i don't think they wanted him in the top twenty, as he was pretty tough to beat. A year or two later, they went by cast wins, before that it was total points. He hunted wide, when most dogs, didn't hunt like that, he would sit on his butt at the base of the tree, and roll his mouth over, real pretty mouth. He would get first stricke, on a fox, get the rest of the cast to run the fox, and switch on to a coon after 1/4 of a mile, tree the coon, would not pull. Probably the very best competition dog, i ever hunted with, bar none. The old guy that owned him single registered him as a walker, i should have bred a female to him, but did not.
