I'd like to see someone take you up on your offer. I'm guessing you'll have no problem finding someone to take you up on it. Good luck.
Mr. Osborne, Like Al I also hope someone takes you up on your offer. There are many fans or lovers of the Lipper Strain or line of hounds ever what a person wants to call it.
Because all the wok I have done on some of my sites about Lipper and his offspring people may think I am a big Lipper fan. I'm not but I also don't see red when I see that name.
My love is with the Mack Twain and Finley River Hounds. I also have a love for the history part too on all the strains or lines of hounds in our breed.
Lipper actually has quite a bit of Mack Twain in him when you dig into his pedigree. With my sites I hope to be able to put out the information and history so many can research and discover things that can be useful to anyone interested in breeding hounds.
"To know where you are going you need to know where you have been."
I hope that ALL the fans and lovers of the Lipper line of hounds will try to work together to save and make stronger the Line they call Lipper.
You Mr. Osborne showed a spirit of trying to do that with your offer. If more people who love this Line of dogs will show the same spirit there is no telling what can be achieved with people trying to work together that has the same passion for this line.
When Tom Hopkins broke out his Lipper Semen almost 3 years ago I believe from talking to him many hours that his desire was to bring back closer things a lot of these hounds are noted for.
A BIG mouth, hard hunters, drive a track, cold nose and
accurate loud loud stay put tree dogs.
I believed he felt like by getting these pups on the ground that the way they would truly have an impact on the breed is through their pups and grand pups. Time will tell if that is correct.
Here is a post I found in doing some research:
"It is 4:47am and Anna just had her last pup . Tom Hopkins hand delivered all but three . She had 10 pups in total 5 males and 5 females. I dont think we could have asked for a better outcome so far. Thank you to all who have been following and supporting this litter. Houses Lipper X Anna"
If I remember correctly Hopkins was under a house for a while.
My HOPE is that through the next few years I witness many lovers and promoters of this line of hounds working together to preserve and build upon this line of hounds.
That will be done by people NOT being jealous of what others have but happy for the people who have something good AND willing to work together bringing all the good together.
To ALL the Lovers and Fans of the Lipper Hounds the BEST of luck on your journey.
