blue ridge hunt
anybody know anything about a hunt called the blue ridge hunt in march? it was on another board and i asked about it there cause i had never heard of it. nobody has answered yet so thought i would ask here.

It's in North Carolina. I went last year but it was mostly rained out. It's been going on for a very long time, one of the oldest clubs on the east coast.

Is it at tyro nc? If so I know of it but did not know the name of it. I went to it the year I owned the huck dog. Tyro is about 45 min fr the house. MOH there sometimes.

Yeah it's the one right there at Tyro, the town address they advertise it with is Lexington. I believe it's gonna be the second weekend in March but I'm not 100% sure, it's the first or the second. If you get Full Cry, Henry Harris usually puts the information for it in there every month in his article. It did rain a lot last year and not many folks showed up but we were still able to hunt and have a good time.

ya'll be sure to post when it is "cause i do not get Full Cry. can prob call down there to one of the officers and they could prob tell me. hoping it is not when a purina hunt is nearby. think when i went to it before i passed on some hunt to go there. thanks for the info though so far!

just talked to one of officers from tyro and said that yes they were having it the first or second weekend of Mar and would call me back w/the exact dates. tyro is kinda halfway between salisbury and winston-salem off of hwy 150.

as soon as i hear from them i sure will but am sure somebody on here knows a whole lot more about it than i do. i did go down there several years ago for one night but did not really know much then and did not keep the lep i hunted then very long. he was not exactly my cup of tea at the time.

As someone else said, the hunt is March 11 and 12. Friday night is a pleasure and competition hunt. Saturday is a treeing contest and rifle shooting contest. The address is 870 Windchime Ct Lexington NC. It is one of my favorite events all year. Year before last there was an ice storm, last year rain, so lets all pray for nice weather! Hope to see all y'all there.

Dang! was hoping there was some sort of hunt but guess that means i get to keep a vacation day for lep breed days cause i work saturdays and have to take vac day to get off. not much for treeing contests or rifle shooting myself but will be there friday night.

Awwwwggggg! do not know how i missed it but SC state hunt is same weekend as this hunt. maybe i had not really checked cause i did not want to see a purina hunt that weekend. prob will not be there now cause of purina hunt in SC and it is one of the closer ones so gotta go. wellllll, see ya at breed days anyway!
