my bodie dog is out of botae x terri . i have raised 2 litters out of him .1 x bred out of a walker that is lipper tar rattler . got a male that is almost 2 that i like a lot . 2nd litter i breed him to my thunder struck super scoop female . got a 8 month old male thats actions i liked a lot last night when he saw his first coon in wild . l dont drag hides around or cage coon for any of my hounds . first coon he saw he jumped in and gave battle to it wasnt scared or timid .lol

Let me ask you fellas a question how come the wilcox dogs take a year to a year and a half to tree i do like it because they are the most accurate when they do start to tree but i just want to know if its just the ones i have or if all of them do it thanks in advance

Mine all have treed early I just got a Tae Bo female and a Gun Pup off of Del Hudson Playing with them with a drag and both are trying to tree the Tae Bo female is younger and is progressing a little faster

I see that your female is a granddaughter to Taeboe so one of the first things to consider (in my opinion) would be a grandfather to Granddaughter line bred cross. This would mean you would need to contact someone about the Taebo semen.

If you are not in favor of using AI, then I contact Larry Wilcox about using Gun or I would contact Jim Ridge and Chris Gerth about using steel.

My justification is merely based on my own personal experience with crossing Northridge, Wilcox, and Briar Creek hounds. I know there are many, many, other options available.

Of course I would have to know more about the hunting style and strengths to make an educated GUESS about what to breed to , but my first gut instinct would be to go to what has worked in the past 20 years. And crossing back and forth between those lines has worked in my area.
