English hair

Just wondering has anybody else gotten a English dog that is medium length hair have a female that is almost white and has long hair just wondering what it goes back to

Several bird dog types were added in most hound breeds both early on and even closer to more modern times. It's part of the treeing instincts. Built on pointing. At least in part.

Our hounds are only about 200 years separated from fox hounds, and 100 or less exclusively separated from the same.

That's raindrops in the genetic time bucket
