Handling question

If I was going to have someone handle my dog in some hunts. What documentation or information would they require?

Asking for UKC and the $KC

It's been a long time since I've been to a hunt. This is most likely a dumb line of questioning. But.

If someone were to take and hunt my hound how do they verify that it is the dog that you enter? If no information or documentation is needed?

I am sure you would need the dogs registration paper or easy entry card. Now that does nothing to guarantee that the CORRECT dog is being hunted, that's how crooks put wins on dogs without ever hunting them. I don't know why it's not required to have photo identification . My vet puts photo on every dog that gets a rabies vaccine to prove that dog was vaccinated. Dave

Thanks. I was thinking he might need my easy entry card or other registration numbers at the least. Thank you all for the replies

Not that it would be an issue, but you can just take a photo on your phone and send it to handler. That way you still retain your card and not worry about handler losing it (accidentally).

If handler didn't know this, does he know the rules good enough to enter?

Ukc easy entry or pic of easy entry or pic of papers. If you use a pic expect to pay $5 extra conditional entry.
$KC & $hkc you need dogs registration number, owners account # and handlers account # both of which membership must be current for earnings to count. No actual documentation needed just write them down on something for your handler.

Unless I've been doing it wrong, never been charged for conditional entry on a Pic. As a MOH/Event cordinator I have excepted a pic, plus I handle a dog for a guy and use a pic of easy entry card never been charged.

Picture of easy entry card has been OK'd by UKC since 2017.

Didn't UKC change it's policy July 1, 2017 to allow photos on smart phones of easy entry cards? if so that to me means no conditional on the photos on the phones.
