Vodka
I have had luck soaking them in vodka for a few hours. Then hang (outside) to dry.
A lot depends on how long the odor has been on collar. I always soaked them when I got in from hunting.
Have also burned a couple and put new collars on.
Pups and skunks got to love'm. LoL!
