You won’t find a “Vaughn bred” bluetick anywhere on the planet. Elbert Vaughn died in 1984. Anything that was from a cross made by him is dead. I don’t believe he ever had any of his male dogs semen collected.
You’ll be hard pressed to find anything that will show one of Elbert‘s dogs any closer than 5th or 6th generation behind todays dogs. That’s far enough back that it would have little effect.
Anything you find today will only be something that may have similar traits. You might have a better chance looking for something that was from line bred stock off Del Cameron’s line of dogs. Not many want that type of dog for coon anymore. Most don’t want to hear a dog work up a cold track into a hot running track these days.
I hunted many, many nights with a son of Vauhgn’s Mack II. One of the best pleasure dogs I’ve ever hunted with. Not many want the type of dog he was today. Very few want to listen to a dog work up a cold track anymore.
Good luck in your search!
