Heat Cycles for Breeders

This is similar to a couple recent threads on here but I have a old female I’m wanting a litter of pups out of, I’ve had no luck in having females come in before I’m wondering if my dog feed has somthin to do with it, I’ve fed purple bag Victor Professional for years and looking back thinking about it never had a female come, should I change my feed for this dog if so what should it be or should I give supplements or any tricks would be appreciated, this dog is new to me and has came in regularly

Animal Nutrition

There are multiple factors that affect a dogs health. Water and feed are the easiest and cheapest to change. Drinking water should be periodically tested for nitrates and bacteria. All feed manufacturing companies are only as good as the ingredients that they purchase and
all ingredients are sampled and tested, but the feed and ingredient sample analysis are not known prior to your dog eating the feed in most cases. Food is usually the result of ingredients from multiple shipments of ingredients and can be converted to animal feed the same day that the feed company receives them which is before there is time for samples to be analyzed.
All natural and organic ingredients may be only advertising lies!
All meat rations can have a higher range of quality than rations with cereal products, because the meat ingredients vary more from load to load.
I spent 34 years in feed manufacturing and can assure you that in most cases you can trust GOOD Manufacturing Practices, but accidents happen.
Continuing to do the same thing will not result in different results.

Sometimes if a female is fat they won't come in heat and if they do sometimes it is hard to get them bred.
