McGinnis kennels Will be offering GRNITE CH. Homebrew Blue Dan at Stud. Stud fee on Dan wll be 250. and by private treaty on frozen semen. I will post Dans Pedigree later today. I feel Dan and Chief will work well on each others offspring. thanks Dave

My computer help comes home this weekend and I will get Dan's ped. posted. Dans first pups were born this week. Dans getting a late start with his off spring,but I feel he will be a good reproducer. Dan is bred to reproduce. his Sire,pr Il. Mighty Blue Jake has 19 pups on ground 6 gr. nites and 2 nite Ch. thats 42% His dame GR. nite ch. Coats Bawl Creek Hugger has 24 pups on ground 2 Grnites and 4 Nite Ch. thats a rate of 29% Dans grandprants also had a high % rate. Dan is not perfect. but in 40 + years of hunting, I have never seen one that was. On a bad nite he will get you some slicks, But over all he is pretty accurate, and a nice hound. Dan is a hard chop mouth tree dog with an above average mouth. he dose not chew, run the tree, or have any bad tree traits. He is a very clean tree dog. I can feed him, and pups can eat out of his dish with him, never a growl or brissel always very good natured. He dose not break hard of the lead, but goes hunting with or with out company. I have had him tree over 3/4 of a mile away by himself. Dan has a good track mouth, but is a little on the tight side on a bad track. Dan and Chief are both the same style of tree dogs. Chief trees a little harder and Dan is louder. I feel they will work well on each others off spring I plan on getting semen drawed on both hounds Thanks Dave

I have had the pleasure to hunt with Dan several times while he was here in Georgia.I think he is a super nice hound alone or with company.
Dan is everything Dave says he is.He's not perfect but he sure is an enjoyable hound to hunt.
If anyone needs a reference on Dan feel free to call me and I'll tell you the good and bad about him.

Good to see him being studded . Has anyone got pups off of him?
I had a brother to him as a yearling that is a Gr. Nt. and Chuck Coats Dual Gr. HuggerII is a littermate to him also . There was also a littermate who was a Nt.Ch. with 4 wins and Pkc Ch. that died as a 2year old . Lil Hugger is a Nt.Ch. and Stormy just got purchased by someone who will title her this year. I wish he was closer I'm going to breed Fluzzy this spring and that should make a really nice cross I love this line of hounds!

Evertt, Iam located in NY, about 35 miles south east of Buffalo. Warsaw, and Attica are the 2 towns closest to me. Iam taking Dan and chief to Walbash In. to have semen stored . Semen would be available at never gone, or available to be shiped. Thanks for the interest. Dave

Mike, Thanks for the info. When I was in Ga. to hunt back in Jan. I Hunted with a litter mate brother to Dan,GR.NITE CH. Smokey River Getter Done Chuck . Had my choice to buy either one. Both are nice hounds , but Dan suited me better. If you decide to use Dan on Fluzzy, give me a call and Ill do my best to work something out. Thanks Dave

Rick, I sure would be smileing a lot more if this snow, wind, and cold temps would go away. Maybe Iam just getting soft. Didnt seem to mind as much a few years ago. Pearls due in soon. you will be nu. one on the list. think it should be a good cross, but only time, and people that will put them in the woods will tell. Hope things are going well down there. My youngest son is stationed in Fort Benning, I had to laugh when I read his last letter, He said your weather down there is bipolar 64 one morning and 25 the next morning. He is going to be there till May. wait till he has to work in the heat down there. take care Dave

old man winter just wont let go. It could be worse, snow is not as deep as most winters. If we get a few days above freezing, the running should be good. Its one of the best times to run here, coon will be rutting , and no leaves. Cant wait to get out of the house and in the woods.
