They will be out soon looking for a meal, I have seen them on days like today when it's 58 degrees.. I hate them with a passion..it takes the fun out of a good nights hunt worrying about your dog. First drop last night queen went 680 yrds to tree the first coon, straight down the side of the river.. ( which is full of gators) I told myself it's 42 degrees surely they won't be out.. I was sweating bullets the whole time.. When an 11'4 gator grabs your dog right in front of you in 50 degree weather, it kinda sticks with you for life. I'm just as much of a predator as they are.. No what I'm sayin..!

This is what a big gator can do in 1 second, I did yell freeze 5 times.. In a special language that even a big lizard could understand.. I yelled pow pow , bang.. Bang.. Bang..and he froze.. But on a serious note.. This is why I dislike these things.. My pup and I were very lucky that night.. ! Travis.. I'm sorry to be talking about stinking gators on turkeys post, but you were the first person I called that night.. Remember

Turkey hadn't been out in 45 nights because I've been crippled up. Took him out last night and he didn't miss a step. Treed a couple in 2 different drops.
