I see where the Hillbilly Professional Handler and another Rabble Grandpup got 1st place Night Champion at the Wisconsin State Hunt Sat night. Does this and his win at ARD's finish him to Gr Nt Ch?

I guess that we will see another Gr Nt Rabble grandson standing at stud pretty soon. I bet that Professor Joe is pretty proud now. Someone will have to help Hillbilly start his own post. He can give Gr Nt Boone a little competition. I wonder how Gr Nt Chicken Foot(Haze X Sally) and Nt Ch Sheba(Haze X Sally) and Wendy(Haze X Willow) and Nt Ch Willow(Rabble X Sally) will cross with Gr Nt Reggie? I sure hope that Tom is able to keep up with all of this. He should sure be proud of what he started.

I plan on seeing Tom tomorro. I'll ask him.

Happy birthday to my main girl JJ. She's 6 today. She's out of Leinie's first litter.

Tell him that all of the Va Cartel said Hi and we are thinking of him as we get ready for National Days. Ask him if he remembers the picture of Dave and Pastor Mike and all of those trophys from National Days in Holmesville a few years back. I wish that he and Dave were coming down this year. The last time that we went to Holmesville, there was a whole corner of the camping area with T-Top hounds tied out there.

Took the gang out last Sat. night for a drop. Squirrel struck in and soon was follwed by JJ. Squirrel seems to have a colder nose than JJ. They ran a great track and JJ threw her locate. I could here Squirrel chopping on the tree when I was walking in. Hamm was somewhere. I could see an eye when I was walking in, but was unable to find it once in the canopy. All three were at the tree when I got there. JJ and Squirrel pounding it and Hamm was doing a walk about the tree. LOL I did get her to do some barking and she got up on the wood.
We'll be back out tonight.
Get well Tom and see you in a few weeks.
Scott

Rabble was a good ol' dog in every way from his looks, his ability in the woods and his disposition. He has made possitive contributions to our breed through the young dogs he has produced, along with some top females from across the country.

The pictures below are some we took of the old boy during his last year...we miss him.

Thanks to all of you who have gotten a pup from the old boy and to all of you who brought your good females to Rabble.

How he used to be...

This link is to a photo history containing lots of good stuff. Most all the dogs in this feed are either directly out of Rabble Rouser or have the T-Top line of hounds as part of their foundation.

BTT For T-Top Tom ( Topdog ) The line that Tom said we miss the old boy touched me. We sure miss talking to Tom here at Bristol Ridge Kennels. God Bless.

Hello to all! My name is Bill and this is Ruby. We're from central Wisconsin. Ruby was born on 05-21-12 at T-Top Kennels from Sire: NITECH "PR" T-Top Northwoods Yankee; and Dam: NITECH "PR" Browns Leinie Red Rider. Picked Ruby up from Tom in September 2012 and we could not be happier with her. I'm new to coon dog training...and coon hunting for that matter. Last fall Tom invited me over to his place to hunt with him, Dave, and a few young fellas. That was my first coon hunt and what a hoot it was and great people they are!!!

Last year I was doing drag training with her and she was doing well. So I decided to trap a coon for her. Unfortunately it was a very large coon, bout as big as Ruby at the time and she didn't want any part of it. Ran back into her kennel and would not come out! Tom recommended trapping a smaller one. Well, winter came and I didn't want to keep a coon in the hutch so training stopped for the post part.

Ruby is now around 14 months old. I just recently trapped a smaller coon. This past week we've been working it. She didn't run away from the caged coon this time but wouldn't necessarily show much interest other than a whine or two. Had my wife bring out her shih-tzu, aka "Piglet." Piglet doesn't know she's small and she tore after the caged coon. While I was praising and loving up Piglet, Ruby couldn't stand it anymore and got after the caged coon too!

So at this point I've just been trying to follow Tom's training books to a "T" and hoping for the best. Thanks for reading and looking forward to being part of your community!

The first pic is from late last year and the other 2 are from this past week.

Fired the 3 stooges up for a drop. JJ and Squirrel struck a great track. Took it deep. Squirrel is starting to come into her own now.
They ended up on a leaner. When I shined the tree it was a kitmas tree. I counted 8 sets of beady little eyes.
I'm going to single Squirrel out tonight. Gonna take her to the honey hole.
Get well Tom. We all miss you and your words of wisdom.

I went to Wilton's family day and i had a young man by the name of Brett Hagen handling my dogs. Which he did a wonderful job. In the ch class field trail he won first tree and in the registered class he had trouble getting the lead strap off so the dog ran with the strap on and he came in third and still almost got a piece of it. Not bad since it was wrapped around his hind legs. That was Jr. he is out of Chance x Clyde. It was fun watching the kids handling the dogs.
