Updated my alpha handheld, my tt15 collar still works the same from the handheld, my t5 on the other hand when I go to dog info and click the bottom part of the screen to go to my collar light settings the only option it gives me is to stop tracking. Before the update it gave me the collar light option under that menu. Is this just coincidence or is that something with the new handheld update? I can't seem to find any option for collar light on my t5 now. Thanks!

Dillon when you went to the menu page and only saw the option to STOP TRACKING was the T5 on and connected the the handheld. I have seen that before but can't remember the circumstance.
I will check that our tomorrow and let you know what I find.

Dillon you kind of have me stumped. I have seen exactly what your talking about but I can't duplicate it here today to tell you why your seeing that message or tell you how to clear it and get the menu that your looking for.

I tested a couple here today and all worked as they should and gave you the menu like it should.

Best advice is to make sure everything is updated including the collar. If you want after doing that and they are not working have the stuff with you and give me a call at \
904-692-1568 and we can go through it step by step and maybe figure it out. Was a long weekend in SC and I may slip out early today but Corey will be here if I am not and we have discussed it this morning and we are both stumped.

Mr. Conkey my T15 has stopped working correctly. It will turn on but drop communication all time. Every once in will it would show tracking my dog but says the dog isn't moving when I know dog is moving. When it does this the tone vibrate features work. So I changed antenna and clean connection but it's still showing dropped communications just as much as was before. Thanks

About the only thing more you can do is make sure it and the hand held are updated.

If it is less than a year old and still has warranty then your dealer or Garmin should take it back for another one.
If it is over a year old I think it is about $100 to send back to garmin for exchange.

Got it fixed! I plugged it to the computer it recognized another update so I updated it, after that I removed it from my handheld and re added it. Seems to be working correctly now! Thanks again Bruce for the response!

Bruce I have a ? For you. I have a dog that any of my 5 dc40 will loose communication on around 600 yards others dogs don't and it's with any of the collars just on that dog no others what could cause this ?

Probably a combination of the design of the collar, size of the dog and possible interference of a tracking collar if the dog has it on.

If your running a tracking collar with the DC 40 put the tracking collar on first and the DC 40 on top which might allow the gps signal to get out better.

Another thing to try is change the ID number (frequency) of the collar. If it is now a low number they try a higher number and vice versa.

Generally I have see this happen if the collar is used on the shorter perhaps longer haired smaller dog. Just the design of the collar and how the gps signal is being blocked leaving the collar. The gps signal is coming out the end of the collar housing and being under the dogs neck is getting blocked by something.

It's on my deer beagles and it's only one dog that it happens to and it don't matter what collar I put on him it's weird take the collar off him put it on another dog works fine he must have a magnetic field with him thanks for the help

I have an Alpha.If I scroll out pass 40yards my dog disappears off the map how can I fix this

Let me ask this. Have you mapped any roads or perhaps did something on base came. I also know if mapping or leaving a track, when you stop it and restart it a straight line will be drawn between the two points. I would go to track manager and select current tracks and scroll to second page and learn them.

Thanks for the help. Unknown to me somehow I started navigation and the way point was in another state! It kept showing a straight line between my location and the way point. I stopped navigation and that fixed it. Coincidentally I had a collar track that was the same color as the line the navigation had drawn which is what confused me.
