Rabble lives on!

We have four nice young dogs here in Western Kentucky that are Grand Pups to Rabble.Three out of the same male and a different male to the other.Three females and one male maybe some double up line breed crosses down the road!

Got a first place win with an off spring of Griz and Cid at Bussey Ia last night with 425+. He, also, received High Scoring dog from the 2 night hunt.

Top 10

If Deuce had 100 pups he would be tied with Moose for 7th place on the list now. 4 out of a list of ten is proof. I know Tom is tickled with his results.

congrats John and Red for making the list.

Ole Haze will most likely come off the list later this summer due to not being bred. I don't have anything to breed to him and I'm not letting his semen go just yet until I get a male out of him that meet my standards to follow in his footsteps. He should have a couple of pups finish to nite ch. this year however.

I would encourage folks to go back through this thread that Tom began about 6 years ago. I go through it every so often and as I read through about the next generations of t-top/rabble dogs and the conversations, it's like having conversations with Tom all over again. I know he is proud of what the t-top line has produced over the years, and he and Dave should be proud, they put a lot of work and effort into helping folks get hold of great quality redbones that could be enjoyed for years.

We always have Tom in our prayers.

T-Top line lives on

With the T-Top dogs having so many common good qualities and they are scattered all across the country, one doesn't have to drive far to visit one.

T-TOP hounds

I wanted to thank Tom and Dave for allowing me to own and hunt some of these dogs. Tom always called and said I got a nice prospect for you. I have hunted most of these dogs in the 3 gen ped on coon and lions. I know Tom is smiling while reading this .Thanks my friend.Mark
sorry this is so hard to read

That bloodline has been very good to me over the years and I am thankful for the good dogs, but more so for getting to know the good folks behind them.

Rabble & Lexus

What were the major similarities / differences between these two?

Are there any recent crosses out there that show BOTH of these hounds within 3rd or 4th Gens???

Just curious as to the success of that combination of line breeding.

I never got to hunt with Rabble but I had the pleasure of hunting with Lexus a couple of times. She was a for real old fashion Redbone Coonhound. She was the type that any pleasure hunter would be proud to own/hunt. She had a beautiful hound dog mouth, a cold nose, was a nice tree dog, could work a track and was extremely acuurate. She was also a dark red, long eared houndy looking dog. I liked her.

Richard

I would be interested to see how something from the VA Cartel's camp would cross on some of the blood that you see up in PA dogs that show Lexus.

Lexus can be found not only through Bill Lash's Ruger dog, but through Locked N Loaded Jake, Hair Trigger Hope, Sawblade Mac Truck, and Timberline Rusty as well.

Just thinking out loud here I suppose... I have experience with dogs from both Rabble and Lexus, but my question is more geared toward whether or not any line-bred crosses have been produced specifically targeting Lexus and Rabble, and what the results of those crosses may have been.

Pastor Mike would be the person to talk to on that. It is a shame that he has quit hunting and breeding coon dogs.

Yeah, I used to have such a great time going up and hunting with P Mike and Buck and talking about coondogs. I sure do miss those good times. But I realize that your priorities change as you get older and aren't able to get out and thru the timber like you used to. They were my "source" for some awfully nice dogs such as Tom Tom, Chick, Sheba, Wendy, Wilma, Link and Bucky.

Answer is yes. Litter is 2 years old. 4 pups in the litter. 3 out of 4 tree their own coon easily. All 3 started early. 1 never got a chance. One female had a win on her and she got run over. Another female has a win. The only male is in Ohio and doing well and the owner plans to competition hunt him. Time will tell I guess whether the male and female that are being hunted will finish out.
