Well gun season here again. Four days of lay off. What a deal. Tom I was getting ready to say...better take it easy on those coons! Geez....they sound like they don't have a chance with those 3 out there. Dottie and Rambo are enough for me at once out there. Can't imagine 3 of them.

ttt Later gotto go to the vet Boater got his leg tore on a fence last nite bad gash TOM Back ,BOATER is being worked on now . Waiting to go pick him up,they had to put him under to stetch him up. He"ll be down for a couple of days, so I guess it is up to CHARLES and ANNIE. Had a real nice hunt with Larry last night ,treed 5 BIG JOHN treed 3 and BOATER treed 2. JOHN really looked good, he is nice hound for a walker. Talk at you later TOM

Is down for at least two weeks. DOC didnt want him getting cold on the way home so old BOATER got to ride in the front with me .Not many dogs would be alowed in the front seat of that FORD ,But BOATER is a son of JOKER and worth the extra mile. Randy ,I took the camera with me and guess what having so much fun I forgot all about it. Should have had some nice pictures. Oh well will have plenty of nights for that, ANNIE is growing like a weed ,she is going to be a pretty good sized female. She is starting to run with a squal and bawl and I really like that. Hope JOE makes that cross again,it is a good one. Got to go the kids are ready for breakfast talk at you later TOM

Well don't want to wish you any bad luck if that is what you want to do but I hope she stays. Just wish I could see fit to buy her ,but mother thinks I'm crazy, besides that I have ANNIE and she will make a good one . She is already as good as a lot of people hunt. Randy ,did you and Mark turn the old man loose in the snow? should have come down here ,is no snow, just a lot of frost. I'm going with Brandon and STAR thursday night ,STAR has been doing a very good job for Brandon lately. The pup looks good ,stands straight up on the tree and really hates a coon. He gets a little possessive over the coon . Maybe I'll remember the camera Thursday and get some pictures of the pups. Talk at you later TOM

Yeah we turned the ol'man loose in the snow. Joker told me before we left we were nuts.... 5 degrees out and 8 inches of snow......geez I hate the north pole. Had a fun time. Just getting back from bloomington....good to be home again after 4 days. Time to hit the woods. Too much down time for the dogs. Take care all

Crazy cold!!!!!! Tim called tonight and let me hear jessi tree bye herself had the meat. That's the little female out of joker and jill. Thanks Tim for putting the time in her.

Had a good hunt with Joe last night. Ha Ha. I'll let Joe tell the stories on himself. It is funnier that way anyways!
Rambo put up 2 last night and Dottie put up to last night. Dottie went deep to get hers. Rambo got out there 500 to get his 2nd. It was some fun.

Sounds like your hunt was a lot better than mine except I bet you walked a lot farther than I did .If it wern't for the ranger it would have been bad .Kinda makes it fun even in the bad nights .Tell us a little of JOE'S story ,don't look like he has time. Joe I think you should send that little blue female out of SMOKEY down here so I can start her on some tree rats. They are the only thing I am not short of and they are about as much fun as coons. ANNIE is getting better all the time, that little dog can run with the best of them she is all over that timber. She has about probably two thousand acres here behind the house she can run, best part is I can drive the Ranger to most of it.Talk at you later TOM

You might not I sure liked her looks, reminds me of a little female I had out of TERRY years ago. Talked to Randy last night and he said he had her treeing on a hide. Wonder where he got the hide,must have found it on the road ha ha . Sounds like RAMBO and WILMA are doing good and ANNIE is still eating my feed. She is a nice little female. Wish all mine were females, just get along better with them ,not so bull headed. She has a lot of drive and her mouth is getting alot better quess she is growing up.You don't have to quess when she comes treed. Talk at you later TOM

I think them pups out of smokey stand a good chance of making coondogs if it would warm up!!!!!!!!!! Hotrod and ash are acting just like wilma and rambo. Time will tell.

Sure wish Joe would send that little female down here ,maybe I could trade my half of CHARLES for her ,just kidding ,maybe . Randy there is no reason those pups should not make coo dogs. I just wish I was younger and in better health, I'd probably have a dozen of those pups down here. How's old JOKER doing in the cold ? You should make a house dog out of him ,live the easy life. CHARLES and I are getting along real well ,he dosn't bark and I don't put the bark collar on him. BOATER goes back to the vet to get the stiches out tomorrow,maybe I can start hunting him again. How you been ? Hunted with MOON'S sister last nite , had a good hunt . OLD STAR has been doing a very good job for BRANDON ,she takes her tracks as they come ,good nose ,solid coon dog. Got to hunt Boater last nite, he's been laid up for a while but back with a vengence now . I need the weather to straighten up a bit and I'll be good to go. I have CHARLIE down here and he is doing a good job, hard for an old man to hunt that many dogs. Joe I'm kinda disappointed in you ,thought I might hear something from you. Talk at you later TOM

well weather has been nasty for over a week. Went out for awhile last night. it was tough....melted snow that had crusted back over. Dogs had their legs though....whew. I needed your Ranger Tommy. 1.5 miles. Guess someone told them it was a contest to see how fast and far they could go.
This week if rain doesn't make it nasty should be several days of good running.

Randy and I have a few females lined up for this year for Joker. They are going to be good crosses.
I'm very pleased with this years pups that we are hunting. Showing some really good promise so far.
Joker X Bobbie pup....started early..loud....high energy...hasn't put it all together.....7 months old
Joker X Kate pup.... Does well. enough talked by everyone else on that one.
Joker X Smokey......for 4 month old...gritty pup...up in your space. I like him so far. too early to tell anything. Randy man has him treeing on yard rats already. Thanks Randy.
Joker X Moon .......only have had her 2 weeks....she is yr old...she is cocky....verdict still out on her. Need good weather and get some caged coons so I can see what I'm working with.

Gotta update on Dottie to since I hunt her all the time..... Can't leave sweet dottie out. Like I said we have been in lay off for a week. Itching to get it done again. She does things right and for a 15 month nitech it is just about putting finishing touches on. I don't have to do that very much either. Thanks Joe for letting me hunt her. We get hunts started back up and hopefully I can help you out a little. Another nice female in Turman Creek Kennel.
Hopefully weather pending hunting with a guy from edgewood this week.....and meeting joe for hunt.....


Can't wait to get back to hitting the woods hard again.

Glad those pups are doing good, these two down here are turning it on. BULL HEAD AND I are getting an understanding and are getting along real well .ANNIE ,well I could not ask for anything better for a seven month old pup. Weather has been good this last week and we are going about every night. Seems like every night I have to walk through the pain and then I'm good for the rest of the night ,still can't keep up with Larry. JOHN and BOATER did some good work last night ,forgot the camera again . Randy ,THANK YOU and all is well. Everyone have a MERRY CHRISTMAS. TOM

Just got in ,we had a good hunt . Dogs looked good, BOATER you know that pup out of JOKER. He split treed from JOHN and they both had a coon . weather cooled down and it got tough. Treed one in an old house in the chimney so we called it quits. Did you take WILMA out ? Randy did you know there is an ignore list on here great thing .
