I guess that is why they call him "The Pro". Just look at what is tied up in my backyard tonight, just another cookie cutter. He sure did tree a bunch of coons up in Indiana this weekend. Bond, do you see any white on him?

I got my books out this morning and started looking for hunts to go to. It looks like I will be going to Rutledge, Tn this Sat night for an RQE. I will also have to fill out an entry form for Autumn Oaks and send it in. I now know who I will be hunting there. I guess that Carlos and I will be the only members of the Cartel hunting at AO this year.

Mike and I had an adventure last night.
Drop 1 had a good corn field chase with a coon an the tree line.
We ran back to the truck to keep from getting wet. A big storm rolled in so we decided to make a Wal-Mart run. Lets just say I now have unlimited access to this drop.
Made it back after the storm for a second drop and another good corn field chase and tree.
Dogs looked good. Frog, Stella, Wilma and Ginny.

I turned the ol' man loose last night. On the first drop he went 700 yds before he found one. On the next two, he and I were draggin a lil bit. I guess that the heat and distance down here in the ridges are hard on an old man. It might take a while to get him back in shape. I just hope that we can hold up.

It sure was hot and sticky last night. Two short ones and then struck at 400 yds and trailed another 400 yds. Ended up treed right behind a house. I was soaking wet when I got home. Bond, an old man like yourself had better stay in the house and on the couch in this heat and humidity.

We turned loose and they went about 300 yards in each direction. Never got a bark.

Bond, I am a man on a mission. I will let Boone rest up Fri night and head up to Rutledge, Tn Sat night. Carlos, are you and Bear coming down to Rutledge?

Bond, let Boone rest up sounds better.
Oh my goodness, I just saw where Back Creek/Roanoke has a hunt this Fri and Sat night and Richland has one also. I bet that the Va Cartel is going to be busy this weekend. Carlos are you going to be able to hunt Bear or Wanda either night? Who is going to hunt Stella? Jason, are you going to hunt Wilma both nights or do you have a handler lined up for one of them? Bond, is Storm ready yet? Who is Linkous going to hunt? Where is Buck? He used to stay on top of this. What is going on up there?

At least you entered and hunted. I hate summer time hunting when you have dead casts. I hunted Bucky in one on Fri night a couple of weeks ago and we made 4 trees but could not get a one of them to look. I went back on Sat night and we made 3 trees and they all looked and he got a second place win. Every night is different. I don't think that any of the other Cartel members even tried last night.

It sounds like the Va Cartel had a miserable week end. Jason and Wilma had a dead cast on Sat night with no coons seen and Boone and I just got beat. He got the most on a fence where we all got minused. He later split with a coon but the other dogs had one also. Pastor Mike, I guess that I will see you up in Hillsville Sat night.
