We actually rank #7 as a country worldwide in cases/million.

According to the CDC numbers as reported to them by the states we have 632,000 active cases but only 13,500 critical cases. I wonder how many of those 618,500 cases that aren't critical are actually recovered? How do they know when someone is recovered?

In just the week of 3/30 thru 4/6 which is about 2 weeks ago, there were 236,000 new cases. Subtract that one week from the total cases and you get 504,000. Now that is only 1 week of people that should have recovered and there have been about 6 weeks of this. It doesn't take into account the # of people who have died either. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the numbers just don't add up. When you look at the #'s, facts emerge not opinions.

It's all about testing. They could lift these restrictions today and you wouldn't catch me in a bar, restaurant or sitting in the stands of a baseball game for at least a couple of more months. I have relatives and some friends working in the hospitals. Wouldn't even wish this virus even on a redbone or blue tick owner. Lol

Oh my goodness, the number of daily new cases and deaths have not only leveled off, they are now going down. It looks like it is time to go back to work.

The great governor of Mississippi closed down all of the lakes in Mississippi, because of the coronavirus, except for 5 in the northern part of the state. That in itself has alot to say about government control. But get this, Saturday, on the way to Jackson, I passed 2 Golf Courses. Both OPEN full of people. Can anyone tell me why???????? Can't fish but you can play Golf. BOY BOY.

The governor of Tn announced the formation of a board to oversee expenditure of the $2.3 BILLION that Tn will get from the federal government because of the Carona Virus. The board is made up of 10 Tn congressmen. Now I wonder just where this money will go? Do y'all reckon these congressmen will have any good friends this week? Do y'all think that any of these politicians will find a way to skim just a little of of the top? The economy might be shut down but the Carona Virus pandemic is a big business for the politicians and they are working/running it from home. I bet that they are getting more phone calls from long lost cousins than a man that has just won the lottery.
And I wonder how much they had to kick back to the Gov just to get appointed to the Board?

Do you want to know why states closed schools for the rest of the year? In addition to the $2.3 Billion, Tn will get $260 million because they closed down their schools.

"Perspective".... Here is another little fact for y'all. There are only 13,566 people in serious or critical condition in all of the hospitals in the USA combined.

There are also 62,000 ventilators owned by hospitals and another 20,000 stockpiled by the Federal government. That is 80,000 ventilators for 13,000 patients. But we have a shortage?

Now the state's are all complaining about testing. They don't have the supplies or capacity. What is the big deal with testing? Does it cure Covid 19? If you have a temp, cough and shortness of breath then you have it, stay home.
The testing crisis is just like the ventilator crisis. It is made up by the politicians and main street media. Guess what, the Governors want the Federal Government to give them more money for testing. That is why they think that everyone should be tested. More tests means more money. If you don't have a fever and cough you don't need a test to tell you that you don't have Carona.

Louisiana WILL NOT post the number of people that have recovered from this, why? They made a statement said its too hard to track the one that have recovered. They sure don't have any trouble tracking the deaths. I think that's just a smoke screen, they want to place fear in everyone.

I found out that the number of recovered is only the number of people dismissed from the hospital. It doesn't take into account the 80% that recorded at home. So there are 760,000 total cases and 80% of them recovered at home. That means that there are only "about" 150,000 total active cases in the USA now.
And yet our state's aren't reopening. The Governors have a new tactic now. They are using not reopening to blackmail Trump. If he doesn't pay them more money for "testing" , they won't reopen and it will be his fault. Some of these politicians would have made great crooks or con men. Their Carona Virus scams sure are ingenious.

Oh my goodness, Amazon and Smithfield Farms have now installed thermal imaging systems at their plants/distribution centers. If you have a temp, you go back home. And they didn't ask Trump to pay for them either. That is private enterprise at work.

Mr Gayle, they don't want you to know that there are only about 900 active cases of Carona virus scattered across the whole state of Mississippi. There are less than 1,000 scattered across the whole state of Tn. Some counties in Tn have never had a single case of Carona but they are still quarantined.

That's the point I was getting at, as long as the numbers are high the government can control us.

I'm sure most have read this before.

In 1935, Stalin invited his trusted senior advisors and some media henchmen to a meeting with intent to make a point using the most evocative of methods. When everyone was gathered at the barnyard, he called for a live chicken and vigorously clenched it in one hand. With the other hand, he then began to pluck out the chicken’s feathers in handfuls. The poor bird squawked under the torment but Stalin kept at denuding the chicken until it convulsed with agony. Remarkably unperturbed by the feeling of disgust obvious on the faces of the people too afraid to express their unease to the dictator, he continued until the chicken was completely unfeathered.
He then put the bird down by a small heap of grain and stood up to finish the last act while the people curiously observed the chicken move towards the grain. As the chicken started to peck, Stalin put his hand into his jacket pocket and pulled out another fistful of grain, putting it out in front of the wounded bird. To the utter surprise of the transfixed spectators, the chicken managed a weak-kneed stagger back to Stalin and started to peck the fresh grain right out of the hand that moments ago had inflicted unbearable pain on it. Stalin had made his point — loud and clear.
He turned to the people and said, “People are like this chicken. It doesn’t matter how much pain you inflict on them. The moment you offer them what they need, they will still follow you and turn to you for their survival.”

The pandemic is almost over in Tennessee. Our stay at home order ends next Friday. It is amazing what $25 billion can buy.

Do a quick search for news articles about meat processing plant closure due to the virus. If you want you can take a minute and do some calculations on the size of the plant and percentage of the market it supplies and quickly deduce we are in trouble. Certainly don’t wish it to happen but it’s coming.

Jen-I just may be eating opossum in the near future 😳 Care to share some recipes??

Deer meat is abundant around my house. Or, if I want to sound sophisticated, we've got venison aplenty.

Hogs are cheap. Go by your calf direct off the farmer haul it strait to the to the butcher give the farmer market price you pay the processing and your beef will still be about $4 a pound hog the same way. Or find someone to split one with you.

Go to the farm and buy a hog or a calf. Shoot it, field dress it and take it to the meat processor. It will be as cheap and taste a whole lot better than a deer.
