Got to love them tree rats ,don't care what the pros say it really gets those pups wound up. They switcth over to coons real easy .Besides that a real good squriel dog is worth more than a coon dog. Talk at you later TOM

JUST got off the phone with Randy .He had ICE out and he was treed ,he really sounded good over the phone. Another good pup out of JOKER xKATE cross. Bub is picking him up this weekend and you will hear more about this pup. ANNIE, BOATER and CHARLIE are driving me nuts ,they want to go but it is just to cold and snowy for this old man. Got to get a show bench built for BOATER ,BUB says if he hunts him in the hunts he will show him too. He is a good looking pup,I think. Are you making any plans to go to BT days I think I am if everything goes right. Talk at you later Tom

I'm glad someone that will put the little guy in the hunts is getting him. Sounds like Bub will really take care of him in that department. Yeah I'm ready for the snow to be gone myself. It doesn't sound like we got as much you.
The last time I hunted was Monday night and since then it has been brutal. I might go out for a bit this weekend. Cabin fever.

Yeah I plan on being there for sure. 45 min away for me. I don't know what I'll be hunting there though.

Take care all
Mark

ANNIE

And I went squirel hunting today, they wern't on the ground but she did tree two layups. With the snow you can tell they were layups. This pup really don't need a track she can find them. She is one nice tree dog when she gets treed, can really spit them out 90 to 100 bark a minute and steady. Mark ,hear you boys had JOKER collected. Smart i'd say. They don't come along like him everyday. Wish this snow would leave I'd like to get CHARLES in shape for PKC hunts. TOM

Joker

Guess we were able to get 5 breedings on one collection. I'm glad we got it done though.

I did not make it to the hunt but I talked to a couple of guys that went.
3 reg casts and 2 nite ch casts I think.
Troop had a chance to at least get a place but got beat in his cast by tree points to break tie. Not to bad for Adam's first go and troops. I'm thrilled adam had fun and he got a chance to win his cast. That is what it is all about. I think he is hooked now. Thanks again Adam. Randy and I really appreciate it.

Should have some good weather for hunting this week. Maybe not by the weekend with a high of 17 or something like that. Geez.
Glad Annie is doing well Tom. It will be neat to see how all of these pups mature.
Take care all

Quess

I'm just lazy, Randy called last night about 7 he was going hunting with WILMA. What kind of a person would hunt an 8 month old pup in this kind of weather .The kind that likes a total dog . Alot of people would not hunt a 2 year old in this weather. One thing about WILMA she can do it by herself thats for sure. But back to Randy, he hunts hard, knows what he wants, and not afraid to help someone else out other than that he's a nut .Talk at you later Randy Tom ps hope you had a good hunt lst night. keep up the good work

I think Randy and I both thought each other was nuts last night going. It was tough. The only thing I regret was running into a white and black "pole cat". Geez, happened right by the truck to.... Lil' lady about killed me. The stink was everywhere! I don't know who smelled worse. Me or Rambo?? I know he didn't like it either but he got the brunt of it. The inside of the truck smells, gloves, light, coat, tracking collars.....you name it...it reeks. Needless to say it was time to go in after that.

Snow coming in this week again and then some really cold weather. Come on spring.....

Take care all.

Yeah I'm not going to forget that. It will be kind of hard to for awhile until the stink goes away. I can't believe it was 10 ft from the truck. Just my luck!

I haven't heard of that one toooeee. I know my brother-in-law used some kind of mixture of bs to wash his dog. That dog was in some serious pain though. It was bad enough I couldn't breath cause you could taste it.

Last night I think that one used the low level. Bad enough though.

We had some blue ones recently. There has been a few blue ones recently....of course they had blue dams. I don't know who would be the next blue dam to breed to yet. They are neat though. Maybe one of these days I'll get one.

Not much new here. Just snow and nasty weather. I was able to ice fish this weekend. I did alright. Caught a few to eat on anyways. The ice down here you have to watch it. A lot of it isn't very good ice. Had to be really careful. It can be 3.5 inches on the side and then in the middle half that. Not good. Made me nervous this weekend.

I drove down there last year going to florida .sure was not pretty country, swamps and pine trees. Not my kind of country ,was flat though. Larry ,Bub ,and I are going friday nite, Larry said he would handle BOATER for me so off we go. BONE HEAD should not go to hard ,he's fat as a hog and soft. I like to keep mine fat in the winter, he;s maybe 90 pounds now and a foot wide. Just bought another 5 hundred pounds of feed for them today, it's a little cheaper that way and it is pretty good food. Talked to Randy today he had the pups out chasing the tree rats again, they sounded real good treed. Talk at you later TOM

Not a dealer ,just buy alot of feed at a time so I can buy it cheaper .It's MFA feed and it is good I think . Don't have a skinny dog on the place. 20.50 a bag .26X 18 with chicken ,the dogs love it. It's the best I have found down here. OLD BONE HEAD BOATER would eat a bag a day if you would give it to him. It comes in a plastic bag so it stays fresh for a long time and the mice can't get in it. Good luck down there. Hope the big boy does some good for ya. He might just like the swamps. Now you are going to have me checking online to see how he does this weekend.
Yeah I buy 5 bags at a time.....always better to buy several at once. Buyin in quantity always wins. I feed the Purina and I know there is a difference. I have fed that all my life except for a couple of rabbit chasers I had long ago.
I'm to scared to try anything else. Why fix what isn't broke?

Got a bunch of hunts coming up in Feb. I'm getting Post today from Joe to get him titled. It has been a long journey for that dog. I got a 2nd on him so just need the win and another. Shouldn't take too long.
Then it is on to Rambo.
The weather and conditions are nasty for young dogs. Not worth it. I can tell I haven't been hunting....I'm getting grumpy from cabin fever.
I'm glad those other pups are doing well. I'll get one hunted and maybe titled next fall then. Should work out well.
Good luck Bub, Boater and Tommy. Kick some A.
Take care all,

Mark
