Did Post get to be a very big dog? It is kinda of a cool site to see the mom and a couple of her pups treeing with her. I have Little Red and I own a littermate to Kate and my dad owns a male out of the Max x Little red litter.

I always forget the camera everytime we end up with all those dogs out in the timber at the same time.

8 in . of snow

and we had a very good hunt last night. Big JOHN was the first to draw blood ,made us look bad . BOATER was looking to change that . Next dump BOATER ,den tree ,next tree BOATER coon . Mac treed by himself den ,JOHN made another den .Next dump JOHN and MAC make a slick, STAR treed fifty yards behind them and Randy she took all that preasure and had the coon. Meanwhile OLD BONE HEAD is treed behind us with a coon . WE decided to go home on a good note, I didn't get up till 9 this morning, tired that snow will wear an old man out .Dogs all looked good and did a real nice job. Randy ,I have my dog that can tree coon in the winternow ,no more hunting those slick treeing idiots. I have three of the nicest young dogs I have ever hadand guess what they are all out of JOKER. Wish I would have taken the camera,Larry leading a redtick to the truck with BOATER carrying the coon kodak moment. Talk at you later TOM

joker

I got four pups out of joker . The two out of Smokey are 5 months old and when Mark and Joe get them back they will be happy with them. We wouldn't have all these nice's pups if we didn't get to breed good females. Thanks for all the help with getting this done, by giving Joker a chance.Good luck !!!!!!!!!

Post a.k.a. "Poster Child" is what I call him isn't really that big. Probably average size. He is a go getter...."wirey" is what term I would use. That dog gets the job done a different way than typical dogs. So when I'm out in a cast or by myself he always surprises you.
I would like to hunt with Lil' Red one of these days. I think you are really going to like what you get out of joker. I know I'm kind of biased but with what we got out of smokey and kate it is hard not to like it. Do you have a male or female littermate to Kate? Just curious. It is nice to know what is out there for the "what if" factor down the road.
Next time I go out I'll get a video of Poster Child and Rambo (JokerXKate) together so Joe can send it to you.

Tom,
sounds like you had an eventful hunt. Sounds like fun to me. Finally had some actually half way decent hunting weather last night. Had some fun with Poster Child and Rambo. Now comes the big ice storm.....geez. Never ending it seems like.

take care all

winter

sucks ,Already have 5 or 6 inches on the ground and able to see maybe 100 yards. Won't take long at this rate to bury us. Should have loaded the dogs and went south I quess, not to bright .Oh well plenty to eat and plenty wood for the stove we'll be alright. I'm ready to put BONE HEAD in a few hunts and shows. Bub had ICE out on his first hunt sunday .Said the pup went hunting and struck the second track quite awhile before the old dog, sounds like another good pup out of JOKER and KATE cross. TOM

I remember Joe telling us about Post when I went over there and picked Little Red up. I hope there would be a few good ones out of Little red and Joker. I have a male littermate to Kate. I need one win and he will be a grntch. He is a pretty good size dog. Last time I took him in he was 82#. He is built really good.

Who is going to be the first one to get a titled dog out of the Joker X Kate cross?

That will be interesting, but I'm betting on Randy and WILMA. But there is a little male by name of RAMBO and a little female by the name of ANNIE that I know of that might just put a lot of preasure on him .Think there is one in MI. someone is very high on also. Lot of nice pups out of that cross. Just wish I was younger and could hunt them. TOM

He is a good sized dog then. Yeah post isn't that kind of built dog.

LOL You had to ask that question?!?!? Tommy is right. It will be interesting. Joe made a good point....Randy will be still digging out of the snow when the rest of us are hunting! LOL That is some crazy snow. At least they have power though. Down here there are still several people without power. I went about a whole day without.

I'm really looking forward to that Lil' Red n Joker cross. They will be coondogs.
Good luck getting that last win. I'm ready for the hunts to get back going in a week or so.
Take care and stay warm

Did you find you a St. Nick female? Not sure if you are interested but there is a grntch male out of St. Nick x Backroads Rosie not too far from me.

So are there any other young dog that are out of Joker? I know you guys have bred him to Kate and Smokey. What are some of the other young hounds out there out of him.

Randy and I are going to come down there and hunt I quess, the cold is not bad but 16 inches of snow makes it rough. that is a nice list of young dogs out of OLD JOKER isn't it? This should be a really good year for them. Maybe we can have a few at english days this year if nothing happens, I know BUB is ready and so am I. Man this sitting around all day long is killing me goin to have to make a road trip some where and soon. Talk at you later TOM

All we need is a shack on a river or beach in southern Texas. Don't worry about places to hunt...I got those down there. I got some friends in low places...
It should be a good year regardless...and a little luck a great year. It would be nice to get a group up there at English days. That could be some fun.
Our snow will be gone this weekend and no snow in forecast. Finally. I'm ready to roll.

Take care all

Matt,
Good talking to you last night. Tommy and Randy will show you Joker pups in the woods anytime I'm sure. You will see at least 3 crosses at Tommy's. I would encourage you to do so. If it works out I might make the drive. If I have a hunt that weekend it might be tough for me to leave.
Take care

MATT

You are welcome to come hunt with these dogs anytime after the snow is gone. Until then My wife says I am under house arrest, she just don't understand. The RANGER won't even go through this snow it is so deep and that is bad . I can't even get out to put corn in the feeders for the coon if there is any left out here, the dogs were pretty rough on them this year. Mark you are welcome here anytime you want to make the drive .WE have a few hunts here this month if you want to put your dogs in some different terrain, good for them to get used to being hauled .Never know ,maybe you'll be in the Purina race this year with RAMBO. Snow gone yet????
Should be able to find some sheds after the snow comes off. I'll see if I can find the big one that got away this year.

Going to a hunt tonight down in Geff. It has been too long.
Take care all

NOPE

RANGER still won't go through it and that is not good. Got a man coming up from ALA. to get BUB's MACK dog ,so i quess BOATER will be leaving me for awhile. I'm sure him and BUB will get along real well. He's the best we got out of old LACEY so BUB wants to NTCH him for me. It won't take BUB long ,good dog ,good handler makes things easy. Got to go back to my DR> the 23, if all is well I'm going to talk RANDY in to coming down if you don't have any of this snow. Don't believe you could find a shed down here right now ,but soon. Hope to see you in a short while. Talk at you later TOM

Here is a picture of Little Red. Not the best pictures but its hard to wrestle a dog, 3 year old daughter, and try and take a nice picture.

One of the nicest looking female I have seen. I really like how she has a nice wide chest. Kinda looks like a pitbul LOL. She has a nice big chest on her just like her Daddy Roy did.
