dont know eather as long as you use the ones that share her best traits quick hard tree independent 1st strike and will cover if not on there own track the only bad hole she had was didnt traval well when she was young didnt hunt well first dump or two after being hualed 5 or 6 hours some times 10 12 hours seen her do this be down a coon or two then win the cast by 3 or 4 coon by the end of the night i got one now triple kate like her alot shes also double pepper

I drew Kate on four occasions,the only fault i saw out of her was not wanting to hunt for the first dump or two.She looked lazy,but as the hunt went on she would get it together.

The more Pepper the better,thats what we like!Now back to GRNITECH PKC CH PEELS BURNING PEPPERS THREAD

Honestly..it is way to easy...just expose em...like it is already imprinted in their minds.Some guys got diluted versions of it...the ones that dont get it or may never get it need to understand,stack it up baby.That little bit may be saving you but more could be your chance at winning big.Some of these guys will never catch up with what is happening.It is coming.It is moving fast and I am just trying to help and hang on!

I love to look around the board and I just keep seeing more times than not= Pepper in about everything thats any good.Wether they want to admitt it or not it is showing up everywhere...you were right again Brent.It creates winners.

I just asked you some simple questions Dave...but since you can't or won't answer them....maybe someone else can. You are right....people can say what they want....and smart people who seek the truth will find it....but only from honest people.
Since this is a Pepper post....I would like to let everyone know about my young female who goes back to Little Pepper. Outlaw Billy Jean who is out of Dual Gr.Ch. Nighty Nite Amber (by Pepper Ann who is a littermate to Burning Pepper) and Dual Gr.Ch. Outlaw Billy the Kid semen.
She finished out to Nt.Ch. tonight in Greenville Ohio. She has been in 3 hunts and won 3 first place wins....the last 2 with the leaves off.
Burning Pepper and his brothers and sisters are a direct result of a complete outcross between the Pepper line and the Outlaw/Moonlight line through Kate. Outlaw Billy Jean is a product of the same type of cross only with even more Outlaw blood up close. I have no problem giving credit to the dogs responsible for producing any of these dogs.....but you Dave....you seem to think it all comes from Pepper and don't seem to want to give any other dogs that contributed any credit. I am trying to reach out and work with the men who have other strains that cross well with the outlaw/moonlight strain....but you sir, make it very hard. Luckily, you are just a middle man who likes to run your mouth about dogs you had nothing to do with making and you don't own any of the dogs I would like to use in my program. I have spoken directly to the real people who have made the Pepper dogs what they are and I think we understand each other and can work together to make some really great crosses. I know you would like to think you are a key player in the Pepper line...but talking and blowing are a far cry from the hard work of actually doing what it takes to prove a line of dogs ....good thing myself and others know who really put in the work to make that line what it is. Brent Peel and the other guys who have been walking the walk with the Pepper dogs have my respect....but Dave if you don't quit trying to speak for them and their line of dogs in the manor that you often do....alot of folks who don't know them may start to think they are just like you and might not give the Pepper line a chance. I wanted to cross my female on a son of Pepper and Kate, and you had Burning Pepper up at your place for Brent Peel not 30 mins away from me....but because of your attitude and insults to me and my line of dogs....I will be driving 8 hrs east to breed to a full brother to him instead because I refuse to deal with someone like you. Maybe you should think about the damage you are doing to Burning Pepper when you decide to trash a particularly popular line of dogs that happen to cross well on the Pepper dogs such as the moonlight/outlaw line. You are not going to win alot of fans by trashing the Outlaw/Moonlight dogs when they make up 50% of Burning Peppers pedigree....think about how silly that makes you look!
In spite of your insults and line bashing, I am still planning another cross of Outlaw/Moonlight blood and Pepper blood in December when I cross Breanna on Rocky Top Jet who is a full brother to Burning Pepper. I expect great things from that cross and would consider it a very tight linebred Outlaw/Moonlight cross...but if it makes you happy Dave...you can call it a Pepper cross Brent, I enjoyed our recent conversation and I look forward to seeing how these two lines cross in different ways in the future....but Dave here may be turning some people off to making some of the best crosses between these two lines, I know a couple of breeders who have said as much to me recently after some of the things he posted and that is a shame.
Good luck with Pepper and the young dogs you have coming on....if there is anything I can do to help you just let me know. Also, I am considering breeding Outlaw Billy Jean Who when she finishes to Gr.Nt.Ch. will be the only female that I know of that could produce a 4 gen all grand Pedigree if bred to a male who was the same....back to a Pepper Dog. Did they get any semen put up on Moses before he passed and will you be bringing Burning Pepper back down to TN in the Jan-Feb time period and is he still able to breed naturally?

Did I miss something?
I haven't been on the computer in a while, been too busy in the woods exterminating the coon population in Alabama with Pepper.

I just wanted to let ya'll know my "Little" Pepper's picked up 2 more NTCH wins in the last 2 hunts. That gives him 4.
I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to get to another hunt for a couple weeks with my schedule and having my son for Thanksgiving.
However, I plan on having Brent a nice Christmas present in the form of a Dual GRAND son of Burning Pepper at 25 months old.
Keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck.

For what it's worth, here's my two cents.
Whether it's lack of knowledge, experience, being a "converted walker man" or just plain ignorance. I have the luxury of not being "line blind". It doesn't matter to me who or what is in the pedigree. All I care about is what a dog does in the woods.
I've been extremely blessed with my Pepper pup.I know their are certain genes and herediary traits that are passed down that have an impact on the potential and talent level of a pup, but it takes a lot of hard work and long nights to help them succeed.
I surely do appreciate the time, money and work of the men with the vision, drive and determination to make a better hound and better the breed. Because of them, I am now reaping the benefits.
I've never hunted with any of Pepper's ancestors. I have no idea how they were, but I know how he is. He hunts hard and fast. Extremely quick on track. Super accurate and gets hooked faster than any dog I've ever had. Stands straight up on the wood, doesn't move, doesn't pull, 100 bpm. A little quirky at times but is getting better with age.
He may not be the best in the world,yet, but I'll hunt him against any dog, any age, any breed, anywhere.
I've beaten a World Champion, a Platinum Ch, state champion, etc.But, Last night I got beat by a 17 year old boy in his 2nd hunt ever!
I plan on breeding Pepper a little this year because I think he can contribute to the betterment of the breed. Only time will tell if he is able to reproduce.

Hooiser Outlaw, it seems to me that you have a good plan on what should be some outstanding crosses. I definately think the Pepper- Outlaw cross should do well.It worked pretty good before, right? Good luck with them and get them in the hands of real hunters and they'll make it.
