Anthony I gotta tell you I'm excited, just got the news I am going to raise the third cross that your male is out of. Been a dream of mine to whelp litters for people and it's going to happen. Jim Pietro is sending up his female, your dogs mother, to have me whelp pups here and handle their start in life. I love messing with pups! The female is a full littermate to Top Gun and Sammy the sire for the third cross as the first two have been just awesome!! I' sure gonna have some pics to post!! How's your big guy doing? Puppies

I am happy to hear that. I am glad you are getting the opportunity to do something you enjoy doing. The big blue boy is doing great. I am very pleased with him, he improves a little more each night. With that being said these last few weeks work has had me tied up. That all changes starting tonight I am going to hunt the hair off him in the next couple of weeks. I sure would have liked to have him as a puppy. Do you know who originally owned him? Good luck. Talk to you soon.

Hey Doug just wanted to let you know that Buck pup out of Sammy you started for Paul
last fall is cranking his buddy Carl has him now and he is doing a wonderful job treeing coon
in the moutains of Pa...!!

I am glad to hear you are raise'n that litter for Jim Pietro
Last night we hunted a male pup from the last litter
boy does he have a huge bawl mouth on him and looks to spare

Yes I have Jims female here she is due June 7th. I'm gonna miss English Days cause of that but looking forward to pups. Got her on good chow with scrambled eggs and some milk replacer. She is getting BIG! She looks to me just like her grandsire Larry Wilcox's Thunder Blue. I'm gonna post an add for pups soon. Take care! Paul said Zeva looked real good in the woods last week after having all those pups!

New pups are always an exciting time around here as it doesn't happen very often. I think I have my two females picked out already tho! Nothin better for pups than kids handling and playing with them I always say!

Here is my grandson 4 yr old Daniel checkin on pups for papa he crawls right in the box with them!

Since there are 13 pups and mama has a good supply of milk but I have been mixing up milk replacer and supplementing the three smaller pups and already developed a bond with them. You should see them suck on a bottle and respond when they hear my voice I sure get a kick out of messin with them! Looks like all will be blue. Their eyes are open and all very active! Will be 5 mos old for kill season.

My young gun Samson

Samson is now 9 mos old can strike and tree an easy one now and sound good doing it and shows a lot of promise. We got out for a few drops last night got rained on and plenty wet but boys enjoyed the cooler temps.

Bluspeck grubbed up an old washed out track and finally located in a big hollow den, Samson split and took a different track to the East. I shined Blu's tree pulled him off and sent him on towards Samson they had a hot run up thru some really thick tops the loggers left and came treed below Burleys pond and had the coon in a thick Maple. You cab see the electric fence in the background luckily Gary had it turned off as he planted about 40 acres of corn there for the first time ooowee we will have some corn chases this fall!!!

Samson pup

Oh the joys of working a young dog!!LOL Samson met his first skunk last night he now has a new scent!! But even with that he did a nice job afterwards on a coon, made 3 locates and came treed and had the coon in a maple. Always wondered how a dog could get sprayed in the face and still run a coon! All part of the game. I think I will still keep him tho! LOL

Took Samson and Bluspeck up to my friends farm where the coon have been raiding his sweetcorn. Had a couple good runs and looked at a couple coon. We got into the multiflora rose oooweee I got scratched up but had a blast!

Samson and Blu both located sounded real nice and had the coon in a big Hickory tree in the middle of a thicket, took me awhile to get to them.
