Kate had 10 pups today, 6 males and 4 females. They are from 2 high scoring, well bred coondogs. Located in northern Missouri, Glenn Pruitt 6602164756. I really appreciate Glenn breeding Kate to turkey, this should produce really nice coondogs for the hard to please competition hunter.

Tonight was a big night for bandit. He split treed 40 yards away from turkey in a patch of oak trees. He had a kitten coon and I never did find turkeys coon. Turkey x zoe produced an early starter for sure!

Brian, your right about turkeys pups. Bandit isn't alone, there are a few pups already treeing at a young age. I had a report of a 3 month old pup treeing a squirrel yesterday. Independence seems to be a dominant trait also, bandit and bad news brown are completely deaf to another dog.

Bandit treed another single by himself last night. Poor ol turkey won't get to go every drop now. Bandit is ready to hunt alone at just 7 months. Turkey x rouser females has been really effective so far.

Turkey has sired two different litters each producing pups that run and tree coons ALL BY THEMSELVES in the 6-7 month range. The others are not quite old enough yet. They are only three months. LOL

This fall is going to be a good time.

I took Bad News and his mom out for a hunt last night. It was the first time since he treed his first coon back this spring that he has seen another dog.

I saw a drive and competitive nature come out in him that I haven't seen when hunting alone. He got right after it and did a pretty nice job both working with her but also not being afraid to do it on his own either.

It's all I can do to remind myself how young he is. He's ahead of the curve for maturity and sense. Once he learns how to use that nose he will be tuff.

I stayed home with the family tonight and to give turkey a little rest. I stepped outside because bandit was barking, he rarely does so I decided to turn him loose. He headed to the woods and fell treed 300 yards up the creek. He had his 4th solo coon in a big hedge tree. I heard a report on 2 female pups in Iowa out of turkey x Nt ch death row abby. Both females are treeing their own coon at 10 mo old. The future looks bright for these turkey pups.

Brown Split Treed

Brown split treed and holding pressure from a 100bpm tree dog who is a little over 60yds away. This dog is independent and knows how to do his job. He is 10 months old.

I think there are two females left off of Turkey and Shadow.

Brian, I'm trying to get a transfer at work that will allow me to have weekends off. Hopefully I'll get it soon so I can do more hunting on the weekends. I think Lyle will be back in MO in a couple of weeks too.

No luck at autumn oaks this weekend. I drew a good cast of guys but not sure there were many coons where we hunted. This was my 3rd trip to AO with a quality hound and I have only scored on 1 coon total. Congratulations to all of the winners.

I had the privilege to hunt with bad news brown over the weekend. Videos and pictures don't do him justice, he's a serious contender at 10 months of age. I'll be hunting him with turkey for awhile. If anyone would like to see him go, pack your boots and come see brown in person.

I hunted turkey and Chris Snyders pup "bad news brown" tonight. He's the real deal. Chris has done a great job with this pup. He's quick on both ends and a real treedog!

Here's a video of 11 month old bad news brown split treed from turkey last night. He put on a clinic against 2 older veteran coondogs,turkey being one of them. We treed 3 singles, turkey had 1 alone and the rest was all bad news brown.
