Hey Brent I am using this 8mnth old pup to help start others now...he will get treed...She wasnt too interested but he got her excited...it does me so.. i thought sure it would her...I was right!!

Last night was a good night for the dogs with Pepper blood in them. Brian and Sammy 2nd Place Redbone Days -Rip final 4 in open hunt at Redbone Days-Rocky Top Queen finished to Nt Ch and Burning River Rebel got a 1st Place win not to bad for 1 night.Pepper Power!

Then 3 shots of PEPPER making top hounds

Drown em in PEPPER-dillution is the solution.

Makes you wonder when some will understand...some are following suit...I dont think they will admitt it is what gonna be what helped get them to the next level...others will never understand.Me I see it right in front of me.

Katiedids.....isn't Burning Pepper directly out of Kate? Maybe I have him mixed up with another Pepper dog. I thought Burning Pepper, Pepper Ann, Red Rocker, and Rocky Top Jet were all Moonlight Kate pups. I think Brent told me about some more from that cross but I can't remember the names of them. I have only hunted with Jet....but if they are all like him it must have been a heck of a cross....maybe one of the all time best.

Ya they are out of Kate just like they are out of Little Pepper .This was with out a doubt one of the best crosses ever made.We call them Pepper dogs you call them whatever you want.I personally dont see any of Kates traits in mine,Sam is a spitting image of his daddy.And mine came from a repeat cross,go figure.Im pretty sure Jet came from a repeat cross aswell.Cant believe they made coondogs lol.

I never hunted with little Pepper....but I hunted Jet (a littermate to your dog) for about a month and he is almost identical to my female Breanna....who doesn't have any Little Pepper in her pedigree, and I have had a few people tell me that she reminds them of Kate.
It was just a question since someone mentioned Kate in their post. When you have so many dogs from this line called Pepper it gets a little confusing when people just say Pepper and not their full name. There is a lot of posting about Pepper blood on the board and from what I can tell that covers several dogs....like the ones from Kate and Little Pepper cross and the Moses dog who I believe was out of a different cross off Little Pepper male and also a Little Pepper female. I spoke to John Biggert the other day and he was telling me about a pup that he has that may be the best he has ever raised and I thought he said it was out of Moses and Pepper Ann....who was from the same cross as Sammy, Jet, and Burning Pepper....is that right?
I may be mistaken on the female but I thought he said Pepper Ann.
Do you have one out of that cross? How many pups were there in that litter?
It's good to see different groups working to concentrate some of the more dominant bloodlines that are impacting the breed at this time. I see you guys doing that with this pepper line, several people are doing the same with the rabble line and we are concentrating to outlaw/moonlight blood.
Most of these lines should cross well with other competetive strains in the future. I guess time will tell. Good luck this year.
