Long Tall Sally was a grand pup of TC's Jackhammer. Sally's grandad and Kate's grandmother were half brother/sister. Does that make Sally and Kate cousins? Goose is out of Moose X Deanna which makes Kate and Sally her grandmothers and puts TJ on the top and bottom. I wonder what the 7 gen pedigree of a Moose X Outlaw Billy Jean cross would look like? What does the 7 gen pedigree of the BTK X Willow (Rabble X Sally) pedigree look like?

She was a nice looking dog with that solid dark red coat that Ace was known for. More reproducing red power infused in this bloodline.

There were two females off GrNiteCh Dawns Timber Jack named Dawns Timber Rose. One was out of NiteCh Bill's Red Kate and the other was out of NiteCh Bosley's Little Kate. GrNiteCh Reeds Saline River Ratt's mother was out of the one from GrNiteCh Dawns Timber Jack & NiteCh Bosleys Little Kate. Ratt's mother was not a NiteCh.

Ya after I wrote that above I was wondering about that too. I wasn't involved with this breeding but I remember it well now. Bill had too many Roses over there. This Rose was owned by our friend Jordan Rathke (owner of Moon). He also owned a Nt.Ch. littermate to Rose named Annie who was a good one. He got Rose back from a friend who was using her only for hide hunting. Rose was a tripod after she lost one of her legs but she was still a good coondog. I hunted with her one time only. We had her, Molly, Maxx, Moon, and my Brandy II female that night. We weren't lacking in tree power that night.

Rose's mother was Nt. Ch. Bosley's Kate who was a line bred Timber Chopper top and bottom female with really concentrated breeding. I think Bill Wallock got her from Roger Shabel. She was out of Nt. Ch. Bower's Timber Hawk who was out of Gr. Nt. Ch. Timber Scanning Radar. The reason we liked her breeding though was because she was bred just like TJs mom on the dams side (Timber Chopper 3 times up close). She had Timber Chopper 4 or 5 times in her pedigree. Most of the the breedings on Timber Scanning Radar were line bred so I'm pretty sure Bower's Timber Hawk was from a Timber Chopper line breeding.

We had big hopes for this litter, and I was supposed to get a pick of the litter male from this cross. Only one male was born and it died. Annie had a big muscle frame like the Radar dog and had a white patch on her chest too like Radar. They were really gritty dogs and didn't take crap from anyone. Solid well balanced coon dogs from strike to tree and good pressure tree dogs. I hunted with Bosley's Kate one night and she was a really hard tree dog. Reminded me alot of TJs mom Dawn. Very tight built frames (little buffalo) and gave this line of dogs a lot of muscle and grit.

Bill had both TJ and Ben in his kennel at the same time for awhile. He was putting a hide season on Ben for Roger Shabel when he was about 3 years old. He was later sold to a friend of Bill's, Jack Roe, in that area of Wisconsin. Bill bred a few females to Ben including TJs full sister Nt. Ch. Dawns Timber Kate. Kate was one of my favorite dogs to hunt with and one of the hardest tree dogs I've ever been in the woods with. When her and TJ treed together it was pretty intense and loud. I kept her at my place for a summer and hunted her and TJ together almost every night. They pushed each other really hard and I put alot of miles on that summer. If I could own one pair of dogs, I'd want them back.

There is no wonder this line of dogs reproduced the way they did with all of this concentrated Timber Chopper breeding. Just this cross alone brought TC in the equation 8-9 times. Cross this on Ben and you got it 5 more times. I think Max Hunter would be proud!

Thanks Troy. You nailed that pedigree. Ive got 22 years of breeding and campaigning behind me putting together that cross. But it would not have been possible without all my friends top and bottom who helped put it together. Up close- Bill Feldmann is the man to blame for this most reason mating!

That is one impressive pedigree. Just the right mix of old blood and new with each generation produced by a big winning previous generation of top redbones. These are the kinds of crosses that will change the competition side of the redbone breed. To be good coon dogs they must be able to tree coons consistently....but to win and achieve what the dogs in this pedigree have ....generation over generation something more is needed.
That something is competitiveness or a competitive edge. That is the difference between a solid coon dog and a big winning solid coon dog who can compete and beat most of dogs it is hunted against.
Congrats on what looks to be a real next level type proven competition winner bred cross. I am sure we will see a few of these in the winners circle down the road.

Yes, moonshine's sire is out of Moonlight Kate who is a grand daughter of Billy the Kid....which everything I have is line bred on. Tammy is very heavy Timber Chopper Bred on back just like most of my dogs and I like that there are some outcrosses in this pedigree that worked and no doubt added some traits that make the parents what they are. T-top is a line I am trying outcrosses on and this cross also has others that are interesting that are not found in the dogs I am breeding like Sandy creek Jake , buster II, Ghost, Bone, and C.V. Woodpecker. Success can be tricky at least high % success when you outcross to try and add some desirable traits. It is much easier and more effective in my opinion when you dont do it directly...but to a related line that incorporated the outcrosses previously with success into a line that is already similar to your own. Most of my dogs are related to the dogs that Joe and others have been breeding over the years in that they go back to Timber Chopper a lot. Joe has worked more through the Timber Jack side while I worked more through the Burning Ben side but both share a lot of common ancestors. Joe outcrosses to Rabble with success several years back and I am working it in more recently. My first two redbones that everything I own or am partnered on go back to two key crosses on the same female.....Outlaw Jessie. The Timber Jack x Jessie cross and the Burning Ben x Jessie cross.
Both were good, proven, big winning crosses and both have produced many big winners on down the line to this day. I consider most of the dogs in this cross between Tammy x Moonshine to have similar breeding to lines I promote with the added benefit of a couple of lines incorporated in from outcrosses that should work very well. It is an outstanding cross on paper and should prove so in the woods as well. Good luck to those fortunate enough to get a pup

Kate and Pepper Ann are finding their way on many pedigrees. Pepper Ann crossed well on just about everything she was bred to. We just made a cross that will have Kate and Pepper Ann 3 times up close and Timber Jack 5 times.
