I used Billy semen on Amber...who is out of Pepper Ann and that worked pretty good. I have a female from it who is a Nt.CH. and her Brother Little Red Billy won southern redbone days last month. Two others from that litter have first places.

Took Breanna and Dual Gr CH Ragged Ridge Ripsaw out last night after work.
8 Inches of crusty snow in the woods. Cut Bree three time between midnight and 1:30am and she treed two dens and one on the outside. Dropped Rip three times between 2am and 3:30am and he treed two on the outside and a den.
This was my first time hunting Rip and I have to say...I was very impressed!
He hasn't been hunted for a few months but he looked pretty awesome last night. I kept saying to myself as I walked to the last tree....where has this dog been and why is nobody talking about him.
Rip is one of the best looking redbones alive. He went from nothing to grand nite in 11 hunts and only lost one cast doing it....and I think he did it in only a couple months time in some pretty rough hill country in southern Indiana.
The dog is action packed, has a loud clear mouth and one of the best locates I have heard in a long time. He is also one of the all time best handling dogs I have ever seen...don't understand why has he only been bred to a couple females???
I think that word just hasn't gotten out on him yet. Rip is from a line of big winners and some of the highest % reproducers in the redbone breed. His litter mate sister is the mother of Big Walnut Bone...another one of my favorite redbones.
Rip is out of Dual Grand CH. Ragged Ridge CD x Dual Grand CH. Moonlight Pepper Ann. He has also proven himself in the $$$ hunts.
Keith also owns one of the best and biggest winning females in the redbone breed....and she is also a half sister to Rip. Her name is Ragged Ridge Toadie and I watched last year as she got on a win streak through the summer that was impressive to say the least. Keith's young son handled Toadie to Cast win after cast win beating dogs from all other breeds to with the AKC Youth World Championship....then went to National Redbone Days and with Three straight cast wins there and won high scoring op sex with Toadie.
I am certain we have not seen the last of either of these dogs. I think Keith and John may be planning to breed Rip to Toadie and that would be a half brother/half sister cross and should be a good one. Toadie is also a grand nite champion and pkc champion with a long list of big wins. I am going to keep Rip here as long as they let me and hunt him as much as I can to really see all he has to offer. I will try to post some video for those interested on this board in the future. Outlaw Cherry Bomb first tree last night 3/10/14
Out of the Gr.Nt.Ch-PKC Ch. Moonlight Breanna x Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Billy the Kid litter.
She has a 1st in ukc and is also a fall S.S. pup...so watch for her to make some noise this year
Outlaw Cherry Bomb...deep and alone on her second wild (not released cage) coon last night. Natural ability from solid breeding and well thought out crosses
Who else has some pics or video of pups from this cross....I know that most are doing good...

After the last couple nights looks like another top female can be added to a long list of females on the team ntch ragged ridge little Ann from what i can say on the six trees she has made layup coon is her favorite game
she is from a what we call a super cross litter were a high % of her litter titled cd x pep ann and she is from a long line of females that reproduce top hounds pep ann, kate, and cookie there win list and pups win list about as good as it gets gen after gen her sister reba has already proved she can raise a top hound in Boone
we look to work on making her grnt but getting some litters is are main goal first cross will be a uncle niece cross on grnt jet
Thanks to John queen on the your help and Ron swan for working with us on getting Ann

When I seen those pups last year advertised out of Ann and BigD I couldn't resist. It's good to hear she has those qualitys. Ron said she was nice and I knew I could believe him.
I have plans for my Ann pup that just might make for a Supercross later on down the road. Good luck with your new female.

No problem John, I enjoy having him here. He reminds me a lot of old Billy in the woods and around the house. I will keep hunting him as long as he is here and will try to get him qualified for the world hunts if he is up here that long. Getting super reports on the triple Kate pups jet x Bree Danny biggert and Doug moores female picked up right where she let off last fall Danny said she likes to be get treed and alone
Jesse said he never seen a pup progress as fast as the male he has
Dutch says the 2 over his way are just out standing

Hersh your female is off moonlight Bo best litter high % off Sierra just follow those females that reproduce good % litters off more then one male
That should be a great cross you made
Jet x bree 6 out 6 that have been hunted treeing there own wild coon before there one isn't to bad but now we need to see how they finish and this isn't Bree's first high % litter

Last night was a good night. Wind layed down, temps a little above freezing and a perfect night to tree coon. Took Breanna first and she treed two coon and went about a half mile on the 2nd one so I put her up after that because I dont want to over do it on her sore leg. Then I took Outlaw Cherry Bomb out...
Man oh man is she looking good. made 4 drops with her alone and she jammed up two quick ones the first two drops. Then she went about 450 yrds deep in a half frozen swampy woods and struck an old feeder track and worked it out to a corn field and across the corner of it into a small patch and treed on a den. I sat down on a log at the edge of the cornfield and just listened to her pounding that tree about 300 yards away and I couldnt help but think that she is something very special.
Not just for the natural ability to tree coons....but because she is out of frozen semen that is over 20 yrs old from one of my first and favorite redbones...Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Billy The Kid. She is also out of my current favorite female, Gr.Nt.Ch.-PKC Ch Ky Moonlight Breanna. I raised that litter from pups (one of four crosses I have made with Billy semen) and each and every cross is producing great young dogs who are already starting to show they can compete ....and win. of those 4 crosses which are 2 years old and younger...several Nt.Ch.'s have emerged and several more have 1st place wins and are close to finishing to nt.ch. One male, out of the first cross even won Southern National Redbone Days this spring.
I remember taking a lot of flak from guys on the board about using semen from a dog born over twenty years ago....but I had a plan and I stuck to it and it seems to be working the way I had hoped.
I heard alot of comments to the effect of why go backwords and breed to a dog from way back when there are better redbones today? Well, thats the thing, I have been hunting hard these past 3-4 years looking at redbones all over the country. drawing them in hunts and keeping mental notes about whatI have seen....and I have yet to hunt with a better redbone than Billy was in his prime 20 years ago....and that is the honest truth. As a breed, I think we have improved redbones and litters from good crosses are producing a higher % of dogs that will tree coon....but as far as the best dogs of today being better than the best from 20 years ago....I would still hunt Billy or Timber Girl against anything I have seen in the past few years and I bet they would win more often than not.
I am not trashing anyones dog....just explaining why I still feel that Billy is a viable reproducer....even though his semen is over 20 years old now. These four crosses in recent years are working and they all have something in common...they are all line bred crosses on some of the very best females I could find that all go back to Billy on one or both sides of their pedigree.
I still have enough semen to breed 3-4 more females so the experiment continues....stay tuned

Outlaw Cherry Bomb (BTK X Breanna)
Her 1st tree last night after work.

Cherry Bomb on her 4th drop last night. She left the section I cut her in and crossed the road and treed about 900 yards off the next road. Long muddy slog for me to get to her....started freezing rain while I was shining so we called it a night.
Cherry will make an impact in competition soon....and thats a fact, Jack!

What ever it is...they will be winners! Pups from her first two crosses which are under 2 yrs old have already been selling for thousands of hard earned dollars. Kind of reminds you of old Kate when people started to see the potential in her pups

Outlaw Cherry Bomb (Outlaw Billy the Kid x Ky Moonlight Breanna)
Entered her first $kc $50 hunt last night and came away the overall winner.
It was only the 2nd hunt I have entered her in. The first hunt was a few months ago and it was a UKC hunt and she won that hunt and was high scoring dog and brought home a 1st place win. Cherry is a super fast hunter with big wheels under her and a big mouth to match. She is an explosive tree dog and very accurate. If nothing bad happens to her...she will make her mark in competition hunts in the coming years.
P.S. For those who may be wondering....she is 100% undiluted, super concentrated, line bred OUTLAW blood top and bottom

Man, what a cross!
I want one bad...but I am in the position of already having too many good young dogs right now to be able to take another pup, So I will have to let others get a chance at a great pup. Her last cross on Shock who is a half brother to Jet is really cranking. Heard a couple have already sold for thousands of dollars and they are not even a year old are they? One just got a 1st place win this weekend...pretty awesome
