Brandon, glad to hear your female is doing a great job, I have had some real good reports of Diesel"s offsprings, good nose, and running and treeing a head of the other hounds. I believe Diesel has a lot to offer to the big game hounds, brains ,nose and a lot of track speed and enough grit to make them climb. I hope that female of your makes a Great bear hound for you, sounds like you have a very special one .Talk to ya soon.

I bred my cameron female to diesel last year and all of the pups are doing great the frmale i kept is hell on wheels been on over 30+ bear and is running up front great tree dog 70+ plus barks a minute and fast and will not back down shes doing a great job and i definitely say that diesel has something to give back to the big game blueticks guys if your wanting fast gritty and hard tree dogs i would definitely take breeding to diesel into consideration i know ill be taking a couple females to him next year and we will make this cross again...Bobby you and Tommy are doing a great job with that breeding program big game hounds for sure

Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas. Just wanted to give you an update on the pup I got out of Diesel and Beda. I've taken him to two bench shows to help socialize him with different dogs and people, he's won them both so he just needs 1 more win to finish to show champion. The other night I took him hunting for the 2nd time, the first time we had trouble finding a track, he went out with my brothers female, they got 700 yards deep and struck. We drove on up the trail to get closer and he was screaming the track, they had gone separate ways, she shut up and he was still opening on it. He went about another 100 yards and he couldn't work it any farther so he went the other way, had he gone another 60 yards though, he would've had the meat. He has a huge mouth and is an absolutely beautiful dog and has the brains to go with it. A few more times out and I have no doubt that he'll be doing it all. I can't complain about him at all, not for 7 months old.

Tom took two older hounds and a 7 month old pup out. Older dogs found a track, pup went in with them and was trailing with them . They got the bear jumped and after a while the pup fell behind and came out. Tom took the pup in to the tree and he was treeing on the tree, not bad for first time out. Below is pic of bear, for some reason I cant get the pics. of the hounds to download?

Hello Bob & Tom !

Hope all is well with your family. I would like to hear how your Kermit pups are doing and would love to see some pictures of them when you have the time. The "Drive pup" that George got is doing great. If he keeps up the good work I may breed my all-blue gyp to him. Good Hunting, Wes B.

Drive pup

Wes ,glad to here the drive pup is doing a good job. We are going to hunt our two pups on coon for the next couple months and see what happens, the bear population was very slim here this past Dec. We still managed to tree a few, got one of our pups on a bear chase and was very pleased with him. Ill get some pics of them on here soon. Thanks for the update on George's pup!

Pups on the way!

James Reese bred his "Ruby"gyp to Kermit's brother "Jake" recently. He said that she is so aggressive on bear, that he wants to get some pups in case he should lose her. Good luck on coonhunting your pups.

Future Cross:

Bob, I'll put you on the list. I can't promise that this cross will be made. My allblue female (Lucy) is prone to having vaginal infections every heat cycle. I plan to keep a close watch on her and hope I can get her bred. She is due to be in during the month of May. Maude (Chloe's daughter) is due about the same time. My neighbor wants to raise a litter out of her and my old dog, if he's up to it. If not, he wants to breed her to Kermit's brother(Jake). Tell Tom I said hello.

Bobby, here are some pictures of the young dogs. The first two are of my Banjo dog out of Buddy and Hallie. The third is Nitro out of Brandon's Shine and Diesel and the fourth is his sister Bristol. The last one is of both of them.

Young dogs

Chris, those are some good looking hounds, they look like they are built to run. It was good talking to ya the other day, it has been a while. If you decide to let one of those all blue hounds go let me know. When Brandon brings his female over her to breed to Diesel I would like to get a pup or two from him, the last cross sounds like they made some really good big game hounds. Talk to ya soon.

Diesel x Beda pup

Couldn't be happier with this young hound, show champion in 3 shows, and now has a win towards grand and qualified for world championship. He is a track driver but still hasn't started treeing. He's looking to be a special hound for only being 10 months old.

He has only lost 1 out of 5 shows he's been in, I plan on making the trip to Georgia if he keeps doing as well as he has so far. He only needs to beat a few more dogs to break the top 10.
