6 month old Whoa Nellie on a release coon today. She has a giant mouth and it takes a great amount of effort to push that voice out so I have to tie her back a couple feet before she opens it up. She's out of turkey x Nt ch Jims red amber.

I had a report on a 6 month old pup out of turkey x Nt ch Jims red amber treed a coon yesterday evening all by herself. That makes 3 from that litter that I know of that are treeing already.

Travis, you guys got me fired up about those pups treeing already so I started taking mine. Last night on her second trip to the woods she trailed and treed a coon. I wanted to get some video but she wouldn't bark after I got to her. I'm sure she will figure out that it's okay to bark around me. I did a lot of petting and praising to let her know she was doing what I wanted.

Feeling pretty proud this morning, still have a long ways to go, but it is good to see natural ability this young.

Jim, that's great news about ruby. Her littermate Nellie goes hunting really well, usually in the opposite direction of the other dogs, she's treed a release coon but is hesitant to open in the woods so far.
Brian, your stud dog (rocker) is my favorite stud out there (next to turkey). Last night turkey treed a coon at 500 yards and a 15 month old pup out of him trailed past him 197 yards and treed another coon. That pup is rocky Hill tenacious tuf, he's out or Gr Nt Ch Thompson Circle T Zoe. He's extremely independent and has a real mouth.

She is still running loose. Lot barking going on about 4. Got up to see what the racket was all about. Emma was crawling up in the low crotch of a maple tree in the back yard. I have been getting on her for bothering the barn cats and that is what I was expecting to see. There was a small coon up in the tree. That is only the second coon she had seen as far as I know.
