Good luck.

Turkey seems to cross well on a lot of lines, but it seems like T-Top crosses well on about anything. Personally, I thing you would make a terrific cross.

Mike, what Turkey brought to the equation for me that I felt my T-Top stock needed was quicker strike, more nose and some independence. I believe he added a little quicker starting dog too, but that was ok before. Everything else was where I liked it.

Those Haze daughters would work. Especially if you had one that went back to a Rabble outcross on the bottom side. (Rocky, Griz, Bo etc...)

Just my .02 from what I have seen and messed with.

It would be interesting for sure. My two Haze females have quite a bit of independence, especially stella. Each hunt that I have had her in the more independent she has gotten. She is also a pretty quick strike dog. Frog is just a solid female who will split and have a coon but she is about a 3rd strike dog. I will post their peds when I have a little time. Stella is actually a Lexus granddaughter.

Let's see, a Haze daughter that is out of an outcross on the bottom side....Can I jump on board? P Mike, you should try it and let me know how it works out.

Or how about a doubled up Haze female that had 2 outcrosses and even a lil Pepper X Kate thrown back in? This little girl is just begging to be bred to Turkey some day.

Richard, that Hannah female could really line up well with turkey. Cd/pepper Ann thrown back in sounds good plus all of the t-top stuff that we already know crosses good on him.
Mike, Stella is bred a little bit like Aaron Wades shadow female and that cross is looking great so far.

Tons of rain hasn't helped my preparation for American Redbone Days any. Crooked River is completely out of its banks and all the smaller creeks look like rivers. We went tonight anyways and had a muddy mess of a coonhunt. Turkey swam a good sized River and treed the coon in a huge tree surrounded by standing water. Luckily I found this log to cross and turkey wanted his picture taken so I couldn't resist.

Travis...

At least your muddy mess of a Coon hunt had a happy ending, I took queen to a slam hunt last night, dead cast..!!! No Coon on the ground.. Walkers made them a slick, queen didn't participate in that tree, no time outs, 2 turnouts.. Bummer..! Oh the hunt did have a happy ending, as time ran out, we went in to get the dogs, all dogs caught up but queen, took all of us over an hour, driving all over trying to get close to her, finally caught her on a road.. Hunted with some great guys, they all stayed and helped me catch her.

Brown is taking a break from the action from what I'm told. I believe he's starting his pursuit of gr nt ch around August.

Brown would love to go. But his owner has hit his tolerance level of four hunts for the year already. I will have to put that aside soon and start getting at it.

He's got a summers worth of pup training duty with my next Turkey pup and then the Iowa State Pup Futurity in August. After that we will try to get to a few Nt.Ch casts and see how he stacks up. By then he should be mature enough to handle what I am sure will eventually come his way.

Turkey and Brown

I have to say, I love that picture in the ad. He looks like a mini-Turkey.

I'm proud to be the guy that looked ahead enuf to breed to a Nt.Ch. called Turkey with an open female who I believed in. I am also proud to own the first titled dog from what I believe will be many for this young stud.

But I have to honestly say that as much as I love Brown, I know that he is not the best dog that will come out of Turkey. I think the best crosses on Turkey are going to be made in the next two-three years as people begin to realize what he is.

He is special and Travis has done a great job with him. I'm looking forward to watching and hunting with more of his pups from some of those crosses!

I got to hunt with Turkey for the first time ever this past Thursday night at American Redbone Days. What I saw was a consistent, rock solid COONDOG. Turkey is just how he is described, with a super nice mouth to boot! Travis is lucky to get to campaign a dog of this caliber, and I tip my hat to both of them for the great performance this weekend at ARCA Days. Congrats Travis!

Thanks Corey. I'm glad you were able to see him go this weekend. Turkey had a decent weekend winning on Thursday, tied for the cast win and lost on the tie breaker Friday and Saturday he had 2 split trees but couldn't find any eyes. Sometimes you need a little luck to boot. You're welcome to come down for a hunt any time. I know where there's a few duck blinds we can hunt around. Lol
