Tonights hunt

Made three drops treed on every drop with the coon. Made two drops with Roofus alone and the last drop with Roofus Pepper, and Blu. Here are some of the pictures share some more later

I haven't been doing much videoing at all. I have been focusing on keeping Blu focused at the tree. Not only that but I have been having pc problems up loading them. I did get my pc cleaned it had 7 virus'. My windows movie maker isn't working. I have a couple others that are freezing up. I may need to reinstall them.

We made another purchase

of another blue female pup she is performanced and is 11 months old. Here is what I can post of her pedigree so far. We will be naming her 'PR' PLAIN ENGLISH SILVERTONE LILLY. Now we have two Lillies but she was already named.

Tonight's hunt

2 drops st drop den tree 2nd drop surrounded by beaverdam water couldn't get in to the tree but we could see the coon had to call the dogs off tree. Here are some pics

We finally gave in and bought a Garmin 320 with (4) DC40 collars and a USA topo map.. Now need to learn the system Lol. WE also bought the new Tri-Tronics Night Razor light used it last night and I liked it. I use a 21v Blazer led belt light and they were close in comparision the belt light was a little bit brighter. From what I am gathering about the light some people don't like it because it puts out a square beam that didn't bother me. I really like the strobe feature and its light weight. In my opinion Tri-Tronics has put together another nice product I would recomend to anyone.
Temps are in the 60's here this morning but temps are expected to drop drastically this afternoon as much as 20 degrees in an hour... Brrrr... and snow....

Thanks for the review. I know I would never turn Roofus loose without a top notch recovery system. Your new Garmin should help you find the best way to get to where he has the coon treed.

Yeah this new purchase set me back $1500.00

I have never lost a hound using my old Innotek system or Quick Trak. I just felt it was time to upgrade. If it saves any of my hounds 1 time it will be worth it!!!

Here is another upcoming addition

We are hoping to add one of these to our kennel as well. They are three blue females in this litter we are on list for on of them they are heavy Tapp bred. The on in these pictures is the biggest of the three. They were orginally 11 but now they are 7..

We used our new Garmin 320

Lastnight and loved it. I was amazed at how simple it is to use. We only made one tree that chase went 1.98 miles before treeing. We were high up and was able to hear the whole chase. I really enjoyed the music they were playing.

Here is video of a hunt in the high mountains of Webster County at our camp. T was a cold and frosty Febuary night with frozen snow. I have managed to upload 3 mini video's of our last few hunts. I haven't video every drop but these cover all that I have done. I will post the others in the next couple of days... Enjoy, JR

Tonight's hunt

Wasn't so pleasent we made 2 drops 1st drop resulted in a leaner which we couldn't find the coon anywhere so I guess they missed. 2nd drop they stretched a stripper (skunk) lepew.... So our hunt was over after that..... We left Roofus at home its to hard to hunt him on a work night he keeps us out late... Our kill season ends tomorrow night. Probably won't go have bad storms in the forcast and my hounds hve been skunked. I am hoping to be able to bath them and my collars tomorrow in tomato juice...

Here is our garmin dc40 collars with tracer flasher lights and tri-tronics exp shocker units with reflective day-glo collars color coded to match tri-tronics..

Roofus has never been after a skunk that I know about. He has never ran a deer I knew about. I did see him tree 1 possem 1 night but his heart wasn't in it and he left when I hollared at him. Most of the dogs on his mother's side have never run junk in their lives.

Roofus had no part in this he was at home..

However Blu, Lilly, and Pepper were involved...
