I saw where Maitland and Shabel finished Jenny out to Nt.Ch. by winning first place and queen of the hunt at everyone sectional in Wisconsin Saturday night. Jenny is out of Dual Grand ch. Moonlight Aftershock x Gr.Nt.Ch. Peanut

Well,
Since the mother of the Moonlight Line (Kate) was a grand daughter to Billy The Kid, it only makes sense that linebreeding Moonlight females back to Billy would lock in some of those traits that made both lines great and produce some big winners. If all goes as planned, we will have 5 or 6 top Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw/Moonlight bred big winning females to make some specific well planned crosses with by winter.

KY Moonlight Breanna
Moonlight May
Outlaw Cherry Bomb
Outlaw Billy Jean
Outlaw Breeze
And our southern team mates still have Moonlight Deana and nighty nite Amber who are also dual grands, proven winners and proven producers.
I know there are some who still doubt....but I think its pretty clear that everyone who has trusted us and is working with us are getting results with the dogs from this line. I said a couple of years ago that we have a good plan....but it would take a few years for the crosses we were making to develope and mature.....and now we are seeing some of the early results.
I would like to thank everyone who is working with us to improve the redbone breed and produce better, more effective competition redbones.
Be patient...its about quality...not quantity. If we make the right crosses and use the right methods to start, train, and finish the pups from these crosses....we will see more and bigger redbone winners in the future....shane

Yes and I hear that Russell Bellar has donated 10k in prize money to the Peru Indiana club for the hunt. He built the club house there and it is the nicest one I think I have ever seen. Should be a good hunt, hope to see a big turn out.
Cherry Bomb is a fall s.s. pup and has her money won.

Shane, Cherry should do good. She seems to be coming into her own at just the right time. That will be a real "test" to see how she holds up against all of those 2 year old walker pups. When does she come in heat again? That is always a problem with females. Is Dan paid up S/S and how old is he. That should make $100 for him. I have seen Russ's clubhouse and it is almost too fancy for a coon club. I heard that they rented it out for banquets and weddings.

Cherry started coming into heat on Saturday night of American days....I noticed blood when I got home and was getting her out of the box....might be why she didn't act right that weekend. She shouldn't be back in until around Christmas and then we plan on breeding her to Gr.Nt.Ch. Ragged Ridge Ripsaw. I'm going to take her to the super stakes....but will probably hunt Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Woody at The PKC World Championship. He has the age and experience to go all the way....next year will be Cherry Bomb's turn

Talked with Doug for all those that have called pmed and emailed woody will be performance sire and up for stud late this year or the first of next
Woody has three more big hunts this year and Doug does not want to breed him till after those hunts
Woody will be collected at never gone while he is at Shane's after ukc world hunt
