Alex and I got a chance to go hunt with Jeff Hurt and his gr nt ch powerhouse buck dog last night. That sucker is all coondog and Jeff is a great guy as well. We drove away overly impressed! Well be taking a female to breed to buck this year and years to come.

On another positive note...cocoa started bleeding yesterday. Looks like she's got a date or 2 with mr curly coming up soon!

Talked to my little short legged friend in Ky. last night he treed a triple then a double followed that with four singles saw one setting up & home at 9.30 pm his comment to me was it is easy pop's all you need is a coon dog.

Finally got to take the gyp out hunting tonight. My back is still in rough shape. I can barely put on my own shoes but just had been cooped up long enough. Anyway wanted to let you know about tonight's hunt. Turned her out and she went a little ways and came back. Sent her the other direction and she just treed no track about 200 yards. I was afraid it might be slick but she had meat. Turned her loose right off that tree and she got struck 3 or 4 hundred yards in and ran the track roughly 45 minutes gave a good locate and treed hard. When we got to her it was a snag with a hole in it. The coon was there. I ain't sure if she has ever seen a swamp before or not but she has now. This swamp is as rough as they come. I am more than happy with what I seen tonight. I shot videos and will post them on my thread. Thanks for the opportunity to buy her and for being a honest gentlemen. Good luck with your hounds. You better strap your boots on tight if you plan to keep up with Mr Flowers

I am so excited for this cross to happen. Buck is one of the best, if not the best, I have ever seen go. The dog is pretty impressive. He has not been advertised very much, but has done all kinds of winning. People really need to take a serious look at this hound. I hope she has a belly full of pups!

I will keep you posted. So far so good! A little tune up time for me and her and all will be good. Hunting her by herself putting a little more hunt in her is all I see so far that needs brushed up. I didn't figure she had been hunted by herself a lot yet anyway. She is handling it real good and treeing coon!

She is a real nice TREEDOG and so far ain't missed one yet. I think she is gonna work out pretty good. You are right though I was on my toes with these guys heck with pics like that was afraid things might be a little shady
I take that back this is one of the best deals I have ever made on a dog just on a mans word. Some folks couldn't spit the truth out if it was setting their mouth on fire, but these fellas was sure honest and I certainly would recommend them to anyone. Getting pretty cold again guess I will have to quit hunting barefooted and break out the tennis shoes ! That 15 degrees is just a little cold for me since I've gotten older. You ever had a dog that was so bad to back track he treed with his back feet up on the tree?You don't tell any big tales like that to them young men do ya Gayle?! Lol....

Sounds good. and we appreciate your kind words...all the fine gentlemen that have influenced us in this sport would be ashamed and embarrassed if we weren't 100% honest on our dogs (I guess always keep that in the back of my mind when describing a dog). I need to make it down your way and go for a hunt sometime...I always enjoy hunting different parts of the country!

We'll be breeding sis to Jeff Hurt's Powerhouse Buck dog; he's located in Evansville, IN. He finished 2013 as leading English dog in the state as well as finished in top 16 English in PKC. We got to hunt with him last Saturday and was extremely impressed! Plus he's a proven reproducer and his pedigree is loaded with proven reproducers as well. Not a lot of UKC guys know about him, but they should. And the good thing about sis is that she's proven and loaded with proven reproducers as well. You did a great job in making that cross to get her. Alex caught 2 with her last night in the snow and low 20's weather! She's a nice one that's for sure. We've got a list of stud dogs we want to cross on her before she's gone.
