I wonder what would happen if scientists began making a human being from the cell of another human being. We are living in strange days, are we not? But I want to tell you our hope is not to be found in science. There’s no blessing in the book of science. Friend, the blessing is in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
When I see things like cloning come to pass they do not shake me. Sometimes they grieve me or sadden me, but they do not shake me because I know God’s Word. I know it is the fulfillment of prophecy, and I can say with all of the saints, “Praise God! It’s getting gloriously dark.”
Next time you read something in the paper that shadows the end times, use it as an open door to share the Second Coming of Jesus with someone. The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." - Matthew 13:44-46

What did Jesus mean when He said the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field that when found should be re-hidden and then bought? Here’s what He did not mean. Jesus did not mean that the gospel should be hidden and not shared, and He did not mean that the gospel could be bought.

The parable was meant to show the value of the gospel that it is in fact the most valuable thing you could ever possess. That if you found it, you would sell everything you owned so you could have it.

However, the gospel is so valuable that it can never be bought. You could never have enough fine things to sell or offer that would equal the value. But that’s the beauty of the gospel! It is the most valuable thing in existence…but it’s also free!

This means that God knowing your inferiority, your inability to come close to His standards, came down to earth as a humble baby, lived a perfect life on earth despite temptation, and died a sacrificial and substitutionary death even though He was innocent, just so you could receive the gift He offers.

What is the value of the gospel? It is like a field with the finest buried treasure; you’d be willing to sell everything you had – not just extra yard sale type things, but everything even the things you need to sustain your life – just so you could look upon it. The good news is that you don’t have to, and even if you wanted to you couldn’t.

The good news is that Jesus died and rose again, so that you could have the most valuable thing in the world for free. The gospel had a high price, one that you and I could never pay. There was only ever One who could pay it, and He finished that payment once and for all on the cross. He did this so that those He calls can accept His grace and become His children and heirs forever.

As believers, do we really treat the gospel like it’s the most valuable thing we have? Do we speak of it to others like it’s the most valuable thing they can have? And do our lives reflect that the grace of Jesus Christ is free, or do our actions show others that we are still trying to earn something?

Reflect on the joy of the gospel today and every day…the joy that it is given freely and can never be taken from you, and share this joy with everyone you know and meet. God Loves Yas... Wow! The weekend flew by.Its Monday once again. Winter will be arriveing soon .The best part of it is the fall weather when trees leaves lose there color and the wind starts to blow . Im startin to see flocks of ducks flying down the river making there way south , From season to season when changes come we can see our Lords touch and hand in everything.The Maker of it all for us all to enjoy. If being a Christian and going to heaven doesn’t excite you, then you have calluses on your soul. It’s exciting to know the Lord Jesus Christ!

When you pick up the newspaper and read something alarming, you don’t need to panic. Instead, remember Who has it under His control. He who flung the stars in space has the whole universe in His hands!

Take the hand of a child today and look at the stars twinkling in the night sky or a flower beginning to bloom. Hello Everyone ! Its a beautiful mornin in the Riverbottoms . Today I would like to tell yas how GOD sometimes works and uses us for a purpose. Everyday when I open my eyes before I get out of bed the very first thing that I do is thank GOD for a good nights sleep and taken care of my family and everyone that I love For the last few days Ive been askin God to put someone in my path that I could really do somethin special for someone that I could really make a difference for in there life. Well yesterday mornin at 10;05 am I was working in my machine shead. I heared this really loud poping and cracking noise a motor miss fireing really bad.I steped out the door of the shead and looked up and there was a small plane with black smoke pouring out of the engine it was about 50 yards above me going down. I called 911 and informed them. I stood watching as it went down it missed a highvoltage powerline by about 10 ft and touched down went a ways and fliped over a couple times. I was prayin that it didnot burst into flames. At this time my neighbor up the road stoped as he saw it also and I jumped into his truck and we headed out across my plowed field it was about 150 yards from the house. When we pulled up the plane was upside down and badly toreup it was smokin I opened the planes door and my neighbor being a smaller guy crawled in and helped the pilot undo his seatbelt and we pulled him out, thanks to GOD our LORD all that was wrong with him was he had a cut on his arm.I said The Good Lord took care of you my friend, he said he sure did. The Police and E.M.S. arrived and they took him to be checked out, As he was leaveing in the ambulance , he shook my and my neighbors hand and said thanks for being there for me.and by the way Im a lawyer in St Louis if you two guys ever need a lawyer give me a call it wont cost you nothin...{lol} I want all of you readers to know,that I didnt post this to make myself and my neighbor heros because we are not. remember what I asked GOD for when I was getin out of bed? This plane crash is what God gave me as my request to really make a difference in someone elses life. I feel that God made me and my neighbor Mr Walter Ontis Gardian Angels and put us there at just the right time to make a difference in this plane pilots life....... God uses us all every single day to do his work.A sinner like me and Walter.. I’ve never been to a wedding where there wasn’t a beautiful bride, but no bride can compare in beauty to the one we’ll behold when Jesus returns to claim us, the Bride of Christ.

You see, when we were saved, we were espoused to Christ, and an espousal is a little bit stronger than an engagement. An engagement is a promise to marry, but an espousal is a promise that you belong to this person even though the marriage has not yet been consummated.

Every child of God already belongs to Him. When we become espoused to Christ, He gives us something better than an engagement ring. He gives us the Holy Spirit.

The worst thing that could happen to sinful people would be to live in a perfect environment.

If God had left Adam in the Garden of Eden, Adam would not have known that he had the fatal infection of sin, and he would not have sought the remedy for sin, which he found in the shedding of blood.

Problems are designed not to crush us, but to crowd us to Christ who provided the remedy for sin by shedding His blood on the cross. The problem of sin is real and terrible, but it brings with it the possibility that we can be forgiven and clothed in the righteousness of Christ.

When was the last time you thanked God for the problems in your life? Think of them as vehicles that drive you to the heart of your Lord.Lots of people think that once you become a Christian your problems and bad things in life is over and to be no more. Good mornin ! Im realy enjoying my brother Bobs visit from Florida. He had a bad stroke about 5 years ago and almost died from it . he was parilized in his right side and comepletely lost his speech.With a lot of prayers the Good Lord gave him back everything but his speech he has no physical problems walking or moving any part of his body. he can say some words clearly but is some what hard to understand .I give him a piece of paper and he writes it down for me.. he says its realy frustrating when he knows what to say but it just wont come out. yesterday Me and him got on my side by side and we rode through the woods down to the duckhuntin area and down old login trails through the woods .he was lookin around and he said stop. he said plain as you and I could say it,,{ The Good LORD above sure made things pretty when he made things,Its beautiful sitin here in these woods lookin at all of his work. } That was the good LORD talkin...Lets get goin to todays message. Don't Try to Hurry the Harvest

Sometimes the things that count the most seem to take the longest to get here.

Some giant sequoias in California are 300 feet tall. That’s the height of a 30 story building! Yet each one began with the smallest of seeds that began growing and maturing since before the time of Christ! That’s a long time.

You may say that you’re going to serve God. Then you start to do something for Him, but when you don’t reap a harvest immediately, you get discouraged. Don’t try to hurry the harvest. In due season, you will reap.

Have you shared Christ with people and yet they haven’t been saved? The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

Have you ever noticed that some people get a little embarrassed in a restaurant if you bow your head and mention Jesus as you ask His blessing? They rub their eyebrows or forehead when you pray. Have you ever asked yourself why they’re ashamed? I think it is because they don’t know what they’re missing in Jesus. You see, salvation is a wonderful gift. God sent His Son to die for us. He rose from the grave for us. He ascended into heaven for us. He’s coming again for us! How can we be ashamed of this?
Next time you go to a restaurant, let your prayer of blessing turn into an evangelistic opportunity with your unsaved friend. and others siting close by might just realize they need to be outword in prayer when they sit down to eat. Im not afraid !
