Last night's hunt w/ Roofus' off spring

Looked at four coons and holed one Blu looked real good last night!!! This pair of hounds are making strike dog's that are unreal the hunt with their heads in the air winding. They rigged several lastnight that were across the river and could get to them because of high water... I am loving these hounds... They getting close to being ready for the hunts. They have probably been ready for some guys already but I want them to mature a little more. They will be a yearold the 23rd of this month...

may be coming soon I will post more details later... I will say this much I have chosen old fashion type hound in this up coming cross with cold nose and accuracy to sweeten the litter.... Stay tuned in for more info...

Good to see you haven't disapeared all together your young dogs look good hope the new job is working for you must be keeping you busy . I've got a few friends to visit at E Days and throw a couple of ugly dogs on the bench needf guys like me to help pay for the trophys keep me posted on your pups I've got a litter coming around the 20th lot of old stuff in there Neal

Roofus Grand pups Coming Soon

I have never bred a female this young before. But Sue is a very well started hound and being singled out and could probaly win at a local hunt. I have chosen this line of hound for a different reasons. This line comed from a cross I made back in the early 90's . This line of hound is known for cold nosed and extremly accrute hound. They can also produce Big Game hounds such as Bear and Lions. They give very little if any trash problems. Not timid or aggresive. Can win if given the Chance. The Sire is heavy linebred Oney on the top and Woodstock on the bottom. Very seldom ever produce Blue's they are usually deep cherry red and dark eyed... Sue was bred yesterday and will bred again on Sunday and Tuesday... I am personally excited about this cross... Some of these pups will probably become top bear hounds...

I already have a pair of pups on the list a male and female in Ohio... If interested get on the list asap !!! These pups won't last long Perks Northern Cujo and Turkey Ridge Racket is Doubled up on the top side of the sire and is getting very hard to come by...

Our latest addition...

We maybe calling her "Plain English Gauley River Icy"we're not sure yet... She maybe be some of the heaviest Turkey Ridge Racket bred hounds around not saying she is but??? Her sire is UKC and AKC GRNTCH 'PR' BROWN'S GAULEY RIVER BEN HTX.. Her dam is Ginger she is heavy Racket bred... Which Ben is line bred Racket as well... I hit the road this morning at 5:15am and met Bill Brown at 7am I got back home close to 6pm... We had a nice trip and really enjoyed it.. I would like to send a Thank You out to the Heally Family you are very nice people and nice children as well it a joy to met your family.. Thanks for allowing us to own apart of what we think are some of the best breeding that is left the way it used to be years and years ago... These hounds are known for thier cold nose and ability... Also Thanks to Bert Oney for all help he has made for the English Breed...I will keep you posted on her progress... I am proud to say I now have back some of what I had in the early 90's... God Bless you all and someday you'll get paid back for your good deeds... JR

I had Roofus climb 1 tree for me 1 time. Luckily, it was a small tree and he came down on his own after I hollared at him. Grand Champion Nite Champion Ranson's Bam's littermate sister died after she fell out of a tree. Everyone said she was a special coon dog that would have went far in the hunts.

Wrecks are not a good thing.

it was a blistering 102 degrees here tod I heard that some construction workers sent guys home early today due to high heat. also heard it was a 122 degrees near Charleston WV today

It was brutal here in Central Illinois also. Back in the day, I used to have to work next to an asphalt paver on hot days for 10 hours straight through. I wouldn't last 15 minutes now.

I am hoping you are keep Roofus cool and well watered.
