Mrs. Bankston is nothing short of a coonhound saint. Tell her we appreciate her too!
I told her what you said Chris and she laughed and said Thanks! I told my Mom about waking her up after midnight to listen for BO before I had to ride all the way back on the 4 wheeler and my Mom said if Pops had ever done something like that to her, it would have got UGLY, lol! I love my Mom but she wouldn't have made a Coon Hunter a good wife. Lucky my Dad never cared for it.
That gun for 900 bucks or so is a deal for a gun like that. We don't have the open country here for shots much over 400yds, usually 100yds or less on deer. Always wanted to go to New Mexico Pronghorn hunting and a gun like that would reach out and touch them. I'm going to check with my local gun shop in Tylertown and see what he can get me one for. Do you know if they make it in 25-06? I bought my Son a ruger m77 stainless, synthetic in that caliber with a bull barrel and a Nikon Buck Master Scope years ago and its a sweet rig.
Never mind on the caliber, I went back and looked and they offer it in 3, the .308, the .243 and the 6.5 creedmore.
