Making Your Own Idol

Hello ! Friday has came around again. The weekend is here. What ya gona do this weekend ? Ya got plans? What ever ya do enclude Our Lord Jesus in them all. Lets get on to the message for today. Making Your Own Idol

“Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.” - Exodus 20:3

What is an idol? A man takes his own ideas and puts them into the work of his hands, and then he begins to worship it. What he is really worshiping is himself.

You may say, “Well, I’m not guilty of idolatry.” Let’s just see...is there anything that you love more than God? Anything you fear more than God? Anything you serve more than God? Anything you trust more than God? Am I getting hot?

You say, “Well, I give God a place in my life.” God doesn’t want a place in your life. Then, you say, “Well, I give God prominence in my life.” God despises prominence in your life. God demands preeminence in your life. He will take nothing less.

Is there anyone or anything in your life that takes precedence over God? Confess it and repent of it. Now, put on the throne the rightful Master—the Lord Jesus! I catch my self all the time spending and thinking more about somethin else besides GOD.Then I realize,Why did I put GOD to the side Why didnt I enclude him in what Im doin..Ole SATAN loves it when we do that. With JESUS a part of your life and him as your savior one day we wont be doin all those things we ought not do... Thank our Lord for being able to ask for forgiveness when we leave him out ...God Loves Yas,,,We Love yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,from The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers for all

The Miracle Of New Birth

Good Mornin ,,,Where did the weekend go ? I worked all weekend so I didnt get to enjoy it much. Lets get on to todays message The Miracle of the New Birth

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” - John 3:3

Nicodemus was so impressed with the miracles Jesus had done that he wanted to find out more. He asked Jesus about miracles, and Jesus began to talk to him about births. It’s as if Jesus were saying, “Nicodemus, if you want to understand miracles, you’re going to have to become a miracle.” There is a difference between a miracle and a healing ..A Miricale is an instant thing that Jesus does right there on the spot,,Bam ! Right now!.. A healing is somethin Jesus does and fixs over time.

Now Nicodemus was an intelligent man. He was a ruler of the Jews and a member of the Sanhedrin. Yet with all of his learning, he heard Jesus say to him, “Except you are born again, you cannot see the kingdom of God.” People simply can’t understand spiritual things until the Holy Spirit of God turns the light on in their souls.

Do you know someone who has a lot of education but no salvation? I challenge you to share this same Good News with him or her today. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,, From the Riverbottom ,,,Ron Prayers sent your way...

A Merciful Day

Good Monday Mornin ! I hope yer weekend was good . Mine was I had a good one ,,Im getin things ready for winter around the house. A Merciful Delay

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”- 2 Peter 3:9

Have you ever wondered why Jesus has not yet returned? I’ll tell you why. Because our Lord is waiting on people to be saved. He’s waiting on your family member, your neighbor, your co-worker, or maybe you, but one of these days soon, and very soon perhaps, Jesus will come.

You see, it is the mercy of God that holds back the Second Coming of Jesus, but the justice of God and the judgment of God require that one day He will come.

Even now, the raging waters of God’s wrath are furiously pounding against the dam of His mercy. And one of these days, the dam of God’s mercy will give way to God’s judgment, and the day of the Lord will come. Our Lord is coming!

Does the Lord’s return make your heart beat faster because you anticipate His coming or dread His coming? If a person is ready and have everythiing done and just waiting for GODS return ya have nothing to worry about.,Im ready ,,God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,,Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ,,,Prayer for you all.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Who Wants A Free Gift ?

Good Mornin ! I hope all of you are doin fine. It rained all day yesterday here in the bottoms. Duck season has started and I hear gun shots echo through the air. Ole man winter is just waitin to drop some snow.Well Im ready. The ole hounds cant wait to get turned loose to chase those coons. Lets get on to todays message. Who Wants a Free Gift?

" Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need". – Hebrews 4:16

“Who wants a free gift?” I don’t know about you, but that’s a statement that often makes me roll my eyes. The reason why is because almost every day I’m bombarded with offers to receive a “free gift” that isn’t really free. You probably know what I’m talking about. Credit card companies offer me “free rewards” if I spend more that eighteen thousand dollars with one of their cards. Airlines say they’ll give me “free miles” if I book a trip to China right now, and then there are those pesky infomercials that offer me “free” steak knives if I buy their grease cooker for only $19.99! or buy these weight loss pills for 3 easy payments of $29.95 and in 3 months you will have a new body. Man could I use one of those ,but Im gona be getin that new body for free,,because JESUS is gona give me one..

As a Christian living in a world where there’s no such thing as a free lunch, it’s sometimes hard to understand the meaning of grace, and even harder to teach it to others. I had to teach a class at church about GRACE so I thought about how I would do It,,So I went to WALMART and I bought a Hershey bar the size of a laptop computer and covered it in wrapping paper. On Sunday morning I walked to the front of the room, held up the present, a said “Who wants a free gift?” No one moved.

Finally, one brave kid got up and ran forward to take the present from my hand. It’s that simple. Every day God calls to us, offering the free gift of his grace, and all we need to do is accept it. Grace doesn’t require a down payment, it doesn’t ask you to do something first, and it’s never a bonus for something you’ve already accomplished. Grace is a gift, the only thing in this world that is truly free. That little boy sure had a surprize when he opened it and said Do you have anymore of those FREE GIFTS ? {lol} GOD has many free gifts that he wants to give you there actually called Blessings..Do You want some of those awsome Gifts ? With God in your life,Following him Telling others about him,Loving and careing for him,He will rain down those blessings and flood you with his GRACE every single day..All ya gota do is ask him into your life. Its that easy. Then when you see how much GOD loves you. You will want to serve him....... God Loves You,,,We Love You,,,Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,from The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers sent for you all, ask GOD into yer life today.

Romans 12:1 A Living Sacrifice

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true and proper worship.

Where Is Your Focus ?

Good Mornin When we woke up GOD was there with us.He is still there watching over us.Why not talk to him every chance ya get.He is there ready to listen.Lets get to todays message Were is Your Focus Today?

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3:14

When a runner is in a race, he puts his eyes on the goal. He doesn’t look at the grandstand or the other runners. Neither does he examine himself. He has his eyes on the goal. He looks away from everything else. The finish line is all he sees.

That’s exactly what we’re to do. The reason many Christians fail in the race is that they have not learned to look away from other things. They’re trying to look in both directions at the same time, and James 1:8 says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” And Matthew 6:22 says, “If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

Where is your focus today? Has the world drawn you back into itself, luring you away from the command of our Lord? Read Matthew 28:19-20. That’s your goal. Its alright to look around ,But dont look back. God has many good things ffor you along yer journey and when we get to those gates of heaven what a prize we will get.See ya there,,God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ...Prayers for all...

Faithful at All Times

Good Mornin ! Its pretty foggy here in the bottoms this mornin,You could almost shovel it out of your way with a shovel. Im setin out here on the deck drinkin my coffee and everything is quiet except I can hear the neighbors mules hee hawing there just a carrying on about somethin. Well we better get goin with todays message and my it be a blessing to you... Faithful at All Times

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” - 1 Corinthians 4:2

Are you faithful? When the times get tough, can you be counted on? Theres times when Im not but I just try my best

Today there is a serious lack of genuine integrity and faithfulness among God’s children. This is a travesty.I remember when a mans handshake covered everything in a deal ya didnt need a inkpen. Man’s words mean little today, whether it’s somethin as little as a dog buying deal, buying a car, a marriage contract or a business contract. Even a treaty between nations doesn’t seem to hold true. Sign the TREATY today and back to fighting tomorrow. Our faithfulness is the fundamental basis of character. We will never know God’s blessing apart from faithfulness. I do my best to be Faithful as we all should.

When you are gone, will people say you were faithful? Faithful to your family? Faithful to your friends? And most of all, faithful to God? God is always faithful to us,He never changes Hes the same yesterday, today, and he will be tomorrow. I love JESUS with all my heart, I let him down sometimes with my actions, thoughts and words that I say,I ask him at the end of each day for Forgiveness for that...God Loves Yous,,, We love Yous,,,Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend in Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ,,Prayers for you all.Need prayer just ask

Deep Convictions

Hello to all ! Its foggy again this mornin. But still a day we can get things done.So Im gona get goin so I can kick back this afternoon and take it easy. Lets get to todays message DEEP CONVICTION

Read: 1 Thessalonians 1

Key Verse: “Because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit, and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.” - 1 Thessalonians 1:5

How deep are your convictions on the following topics:

The reliability of the Bible
Heaven and hell are real
Jesus is the only way to heaven
Jesus will return

What are the reasons for your convictions?

When you share your faith with other people, there is far more than merely information. God has given you convictions through His Word and His Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks through you and works in the heart of the listener as you share in truth and love. Do not be silent about, intimidated by, conforming to, or applauding the trends and false teachings in the world today. Lives are changed when you walk and talk with deep conviction and the Holy Spirit will give you power! Step up and talk to someone even if its someone that you dont think will listen once that little seed is planted the GOOD LORD will make it sprout...God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day. Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Im sending prayers for you all,,I love you all in Christian Love

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

How To Get The Most Out Of Your Work

Hey All! I hope this day is good .Its getin close to Friday again. Im already thinkin about what Im gona get done . Theres always somethin to do.. Lets get to todays message.. How to Get the Most Out of Your Work

Matthew 20:25-28

According to Scripture, work is to be part of the believer's life. We all have daily tasks, and many Christians hold jobs outside the home. Some people view these as drudgery. Others wake up excited to face the day's challenges. What is your outlook?

There is an important biblical principle to follow if you are going to enjoy your work: View yourself as a servant. This might be hard if you feel unappreciated or your coworkers are difficult. But consider the example that the Lord set for us. He was rejected, tortured, and crucified. Yet Jesus was willing to serve even His tormentors with His attitude and, ultimately, with His life. Colossians 3:23-24 states, "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men . . . It is the Lord Christ whom you serve."

When I first started my vocation as a police officer I was young and thought I was really cool .As time went by I lost focus and became cocky and wasnt likeing my job so well ,even didnt like going to work somedays. I focused on how much I disliked this position. Then thats when I asked JESUS CHRIST to come into my life .I needed somethin.Thats when I said to my self I need to enjoy my job and not dread it so much. I decided to change my attitude and look for opportunities to serve Jesus through my work. For the first time, in a long time I started really likein what Im doin again. In fact, I was eager to share my faith with those around me. People listened and responded because they noticed my demeanor. There were theives ,drug dealers, prostitutes, and every other type of people that I could tell about our LORD .Working for GOD and enjoying it. no job is perfect; each position has negative aspects. But we can find joy and excitement even in the most menial task when we decide to work for God. Choose to serve Christ in all you do. After all, why face each day with dread when you could experience excitement and anticipation? Telling others about the awsome GOD we serve,,,God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron .. { Prayer } It works,Im sendin one for you...

Our Desire For God

Its here! Friday ! The weekend. What have you got planned that you have been waiting for this weekend to come ? What ever it is remember JESUS come Sunday .lets geter on to the message for today,,,Our Desire For God.
Luke 11:13
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?" -

We get as much of God as we desire to get. It’s not enough merely to say, “I wish I really knew Jesus Christ,” or, “I want victory over shame and sin.” We can wish and we can want, but it’s not until we will that we receive the Father’s best for us. We yearn as if He were reluctant to give us His “good gifts.” He has willed to give us His best, and when our will meets His will, His best is what we get. Wishing and wanting are passive, but willing is active because it asks, seeks and knocks. If we look back on the week we can see several good gifts that JESUS has given us .When he is a part of our lives we get those gifts from him abundantly,He gives us so many good things,Just take a look back and write them down your list will be huge ...God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Need prayer ? Need anything All ya gota do is ask ,,,Thats what were here for ...

Ephesians 1:9-10

He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

Abundant Life

Good Mornin! Well Friday has come and passed and Monday is here again. This week is a good time to start your own little ministry.make it a point that everyday you tell at least one person about our LORD and what he can and will do for them if they ask him into there lives. You know what that is you have experienced it . give it a try..Lets get to the message for today. Abundant Life

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” - 1 Peter 1:3

Abundant life is God’s plan for you. In fact, it's God's plan for all of us as Christians. The Lord Jesus Christ promised us, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Now, what is abundant life? It is life where all of your needs are met. But more than that, abundant life is where you have enough to bless others. Not only do you receive a blessing, but you are a blessing. The abundant life that Jesus promised is not just life out yonder “in the sweet by and by.” It is abundant life right now in the nasty now and now. Every day in every way we are to be having victory in and through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Who in your life is not experiencing the abundant life? Your mother? Your husband? Your best friend? Take time out today to encourage them with this promise in 1 Peter. be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” - 1 Peter 1:3 We are blessed ,We are blessed more than you can emagine. The GOD that I love loves everyone ..God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,from The Riverbottom,,,Ron,,,Prayers and Love sent to you all.

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
