I am tickled pink with these pups time will only tell of full potential but I am excited to see how far they go.

Training

Hey Don, it will be fun to watch...I have a couple of males that are mates to those two pups and they are looking good as you can see by the pictures from training so far. I've got them all pretty well lead broke now so we'll be stretching their training ground a bit and I'm excited about it.

They're willing to get with the program at an early age so now the test is to see how long before they're ready to tag along to the woods. Lots of good stuff in these pups and also those pups from Deuce...that's the way it should be...eh?

The weekend is almost here so we'll be at it again.

Sitting here looking at the new Leinie pups. Went and did some digging. Found a pix of Leinie just before she went to you and one of JJ after a hunt where she went 10 for 10. The nineth coon was in a chopped log pile. Home owner wouldn't let me tear it apart. LOL. It's one of my newer spots to hunt. All is good.
Hard to believe it's been almost 2 years since Leinie went nort eh?
Scott
Ps,
The reason I started my post was to say Leinie is JJ's dam. So good luck to all that got a Moose x Leinie pup.

Leinie

Great pictures Scott, it's always fun to look back at some of these great dogs that have blessed our lives. Pictures are the best way to keep those memories and I regret those days when I never carried a camera to the woods...so many great nights and great dogs that live mostly in my mind these days, very few pictures to go back on.

This litter of pups take mostly after Leinie in appearance...long...and lean...every young man's dream...

Leinie is tough in the woods Scott, she has matured into an outstanding hound that goes hard and trees with the meat. She still has one of the nicest mouths that I've had the pleasure to listen to on a hound, female or male and it's in the range that I can still hear decent.

She lives here at T-Top but she'll always be Scott's dog.

Your right about the pictures. I only have two piks of old Blondie.
I have them stashed, copied and recopied.
Joni asked me if I missed Leinie after our visit with you. I said "hell yeah, but I don't miss them deeeeeeeep long walks."
She's where she needs to be. Hopefully she'll help better the breed with her off spring.
You need to go and walk "Scotts" dog. BAHHHHHHHHH
Gots to go to work.
Scott

coonhunt

Jason and I went out for a little hunt last night ran a hard fast track then treed.

Here she is treed on a rock right above the tree. She must of been able to smell the coon better off of that rock because she would go to the tree than back up on the rock.

Training day...

Dave took his son Cruz and another youngster hunting last night with Moose and Yank and he had a real good night making a couple of trees with the meat and home by 10:30 PM.

There really is no other way to express how nice these dogs are and how much fun these kids had so enjoy...

And the big guy alone...Moose...looking good...on the wood...

Training day...

It was a good day to train so we took the pups out for their first extended drag training...I'm real excited about these pups, they acted like they'd been at it for a long time instead of this being their first attempt...

This is a male out of Yank and Angel and one out of Moose and Leinie...Green collar is Yank and Angel pup...

Notice the little GUN with them...out of Ace and Cherry...

These next two males are out of Moose and Leinie...the darker pup is Slim and the other with the red collar is Moe...

Hey Rob...here's one of Moe alone...

Anyone who knows me will maybe be able to tell you just a little bit about the passion I have for starting pups. There is nothing more rewarding related to handling hounds as far as I'm concerned. We have put dogs together for quite a few years now to help build the T-Top line and when I tell you that I know what a good bunch of prospects is, you can trust that I'm not making it up.

This is a good bunch of prospects...top to bottom...and in between. A couple of these pups...maybe more...will be going to their new homes somewhere else in the world, in the next month or so. If you're one of the folks who has one coming...you should be excited right along with me because these guys are showing me what I'm always looking for.

Woofter...Gun is taking to the T-Top life style in a hurry. We let him and another pup tag along today, just letting them walk with us until we turned the pups loose on the drag. Gun didn't really know what to do but he didn't stand around much, he put his head down and his tail out and headed down the trail. When we get a little guy like this around a tree, we don't do anything other than let them watch from what ever distance they want to watch from. It didn't take him long to wind the coon and it didn't take him long to figure out that there was something special going on...he couldn't help himself...it wasn't long and he was barking tree and looking up like he almost new what he was doing. No fear...lots of sense behind his eyes and willing to stand right in there with all that action going on...good stuff Dave...good stuff!

The blood running through their veins is full of the kind of instincts and traits that show up again and again...put the time into them and they pay you back. I can't hardly wipe the smile off my face when I see these kinds of traits come out again and again...good stuff!

I just had to add these last two pictures of Gun...This look is priceless

Ready to do battle...eh?

These Ace and Cherry pups are going to make a name for themselves Dave...it looks like they've got the goods...

WOW!

ALL REALLY nice PIX! Fantastic pups.. GREAT kids! SUper adult hounds... I think today's winner for me is Gun looking at the cage coon! WOW... I just got thru writing up something about dog eyes VS HOUND eyes and what they teach us... (It was a Thank You letter to the vet who put my wonderful blue dawg to sleep this summer... and owns a red dawg)... That look of concentration is amazing! WOW!

Looked at all the pix one more time..WOW!!

HappyHunting and PUPTRAINING! Heather

PS... Bob WILL be seeing these pix tomorrow.. I know he'll love the pups the best...

Gun

Tom I loved the pictures. Had a new Grand baby ( Girl ) come Friday so I just answered your E-mail this morning. I hadn't looked at this post when I sent the E-Mail or I would have commend on the pictures. The pups out of Cherry and Ace are really good acting pups. Love the pictures of Gun. He never saw a coon here. All the pictures show what happens with hard work and great crosses over the years. You can't get to where Tom is over night it takes years of hard work putting the right crosses together to see this kind of results. Dave

Congratulations!

Great news on the new Grand baby Dave, congratulations!

Gun is already moving in on favorite status, he's a nice pup with a great attitude and with brains behind his eyes to boot. I like smart pups and those that are willing to walk right up and say hello, no matter what the circumstances. He loves the praise and he can take the corrections so everything is in place for training the way I like to do it.

Good luck with that new Grand baby girl...spoil her rotten...and send her home...life is good...eh?

Pups

Thanks Carl, I appreciate the comments and yes, they do remind us of their sires based more off how they are starting than anything else.

I've got a pretty good feeling about all these pups, that are well into the program, and we still have a couple more that are just getting with it and they're looking pretty good too. It won't be long and we'll only have a few pups left here to mess with this fall but I'd bet we'll be looking at some pictures of them at night, treeing with their sires, aunts or uncles...and maybe even a first cousin now and then.

To me, it's all about the next generations and the feeling of anticipation about what else we'll see next.

Judging by what I'm seeing at the moment, I'd predict that Gun and Slim will be providing us some pretty interesting moments by spring and into next year and I'd guess that these others, who are going to their new homes across the country, will be opening some eyes also.

We'll be looking forward to spending some hunting time with friends this fall and hopefully, we'll have some great pictures and stories to share.

Brothers treeing...

That's right Dave, folks never know what's cookin' with us nowadays...eh?

I know one thing though, it takes good people working together to be able to see the full potential of a hound or a line and I'm very happy to say that there has been no shortage of help or of people willing to work together as we move forward into the future.

There will be exciting news coming from Bristol Ridge and T-Top in the very near future and it would not have happened without good people working together to make it a reality.

Stay tuned!

So...does that mean he did real good...or real bad?

Another week of rest? So you can find a new camera? I'll probably have to pack up and head south so we can get some pictures of that pup posted on here...at this rate...he'll be a Nite Champion before I get to see what kind of a pup he is
