Frog Dawg

Finally got Frog out of the pen tonight.........Linkous and I braved the thunderstorms and pouring rain and turned them loose anyway. Had a good hunt. Frog and Trip ended up under a coon. It's been awhile since I've had Frog out and it sure sounded nice to hear her treeing.

Good to see you had her out last night. I got caught in the same down pour. Chick and Joe were treed down by the lake. They got in pretty deep and were under the meat. Like a dummy I turned loose again because I thought the rain had ended, NOT!

Well Autumn did ok last night. She hunted good, but wouldn't go to far away from me. Found a coon in a tree walking to the woods. So I walked into the bottom and I wasn't sure what tree it up. Went and leaned against a tree I noticed she kept smelling the tree i was on. Well I walked her on through the bottom and she didn't do much just alot of smelling. Went back out into the field found the coon again went back in to the tree and sure enough it was in the same tree i had leaned on. So i might have messed that up. Ha but I am pretty sure it walked early so it wasn't that hot of a track. Oh well I know she will get it I can't wait to see one in a field or cross a path.

We are on our way home from Tom and Daves. We had a great time and appreciate all that Tom,Char and Dave do for us while we visit. The dogs didn't look to bad and we treed some coon.
Right now we are about 35 miles from Indianapolis headed toward Dayton to stay the night. I'm sure Tom will post a few more pics from the week including one training session we did with some pups. Back home tomorrow evening

Jenny is getting another progesterone test today.....she's been holding out. As far as pedigree.....I know Moose's Ped and I know Haze's ped........Jenny is out of haze and Missy. Missy was a full littermate to JJjr. and ficken's outlaw jack. On a side note......when buck went to feed yesterday....he found missy by her gate, she had passed away not long before he got there. rip Missy.

So, if I understand this right, you took a linebred stud(Haze) and outcrossed him to a linebred female(Missy) to get Jenny. Y'all also took a linebred stud(Rabble) and outcrossed him to Sally and got Moose. Now you are crossing Moose with his niece Jenny. Didn't we discuss this type of cross several months back after "The List" came out? I think that someone(maybe that guy up in Pa) even gave it a name but my memory is not that good. It will be interesting to see how this works out.

Haze is getting close to a hundred pups.....not sure the exact number, he has a litter due in about 10 days from Daisy and she looks like she will have 5-8. That will put him real close. As far as being on the reproducers list......we will see if that happens......of course if tom tom would finish quickly...that would help....

The papers say ginnie.......but I just call her jenny. she was bred to moose this past saturday evening. Should be some nice ones. Jenny will be hunted til about 2 weeks before she has pups.

This should be a very nice cross. I will be getting Jenny back in less than two weeks and she'll be hunted up until it's time for pups. We own and hunted 6 dogs in these pups pedigree and can vouch for each one. I haven't decided what I will be keeping yet, I guess I will wait and see what she has.

P.Mike,
Those pictures of Ginnie don't do her any justice! She looks lighter red in the photo's, probably because of the flash. She is not the darkest Redbone I have seen, but she is still very dark compared to the pictures. She is put up about as good as you could want a female. She is very athletic looking, small waisted, & good legs under her! These should be outstanding looking pups.
Anyone that wants the best of both worlds would be a fool not to get on the "Bandwagon" or list, however you might want to phrase it! JMO!!

Yes, you are right John. She is a lot darker than the pics show. After I get back from picking her up at your place, I will take some pics during the day so folks can see her real color. Then we will get some better pics and some video of her in the woods. I'm looking forward to the cross.
