I got to hunt with another pup off JANEY x MANIAC JR cross that we'd made, named Funk. This is only the 2nd time I've got to hunt with him. Let's just say I was pleased to see the product of the cross that we'd planned and put together. He made 6 trees and had 6 coon, and didn't take long to do it. He's 2 with a bright future no doubt.

The weather has been somewhat decent for this time of year. Still ain't got to get back at it like I'd like to, but I've been been able to go some more the last month or so. I just bought the Rex dog back and me and Elmer have a year old female off JANIT and Big Money that's starting to come on gettin us excited. Come on up some time and hunt with us.

Congrats to Brad Quate and FUNK for winning at the PKC legacy hunt in Greenville,OH and adding another $440 to his winnings!! I got to hunt with Funk about a month or so ago and he put on a show, he made 6 trees and had 6 coon and wasn’t slow about it. Nice young dog!!

Thanks for your interest and I would love to but Janey is now 12yrs old and living out her time here with me beside her son, Rex, I have here at stud. She’s gave us a lot of good nights in the timber from herself and pups she’s gave us. Now we can only hope, one of her sons or daughters can reproduce for us like she did.

Congrats to Brad Quate and FUNK for winning both rounds at a PKC double header last night in Monticello,In. He’s got a truck ticket and a nationals ticket and ain’t far from leading the stare of Indiana in $$ won!! (MANIAC JR X JANEY 2YR OLD)

Also, I want to thank the Hanna’s Creek Coonhunter’s Club for thinking enough of me to invite me to be their late round non-hunting judge Friday & Saturday night at their $250 entry hunt. Kevin Cable and Bank won it Friday night and Greg Maynard and Muscleman’s Nellie won it Saturday night. I enjoyed it and seen some good dog work.

I wanted to recognize what a good man Jeremy is. I had asked on the equipment section about a used pair of boots / chaps for my teenage son- as he is growing like a weed and I didn't want to buy a pear he would grow out of in a year.

Jeremy not only offered a set of boots / chaps, he refused to accept payment or shipping costs from me. I really appreciate his selfless act and wanted to let anyone know that he is a good guy. Thanks in advance Jeremy.

Ol FUNK found his way into the final 4, three times this week at PKC B&T Days. He also was on the bubble from getting into the Final 4 on Monday night but missed it by 12.5 points. He also won a cast the week before at the Tri-State Jamboree. This week FUNK was also sold for more than 5 figures!! Good luck to his new owners, I’m sure they’ll have him in the winner’s circle just like Brad did.
