Well I got the boat & trailer off the hill yesterday,it's in the barn, gonna need a little repair on the trailer, new wheel bearings, new grease, think I'll tap the hubs & put grease zerts on it for the back bearing, been 15 plus years sittin',gonna powerwash the boat & clean it up,ole Willie hit the nail on the head when he sang, ain't it funny how time slips away.

Bearing

Rex & TD,
I got bearing buddies on mine and thought I had to grease it ever 2 or 3 trips. Ya, Sure, Blew the seals out and ruined the bearings (Poured out like syrup) using Cenpeco grease which is around $7.00 a tube and supposed to be the best. WRONG. Chip's over at Sullivan told me to use nothing but Nissan grease.
Am trying it now $2.99 a tube and talk about sticky. Told me to grease around every 200 -250 miles with 1 pump and NEVER let the spring be snug on the bearing buddies. Time will tell. Sure are different than they used to be.
I am ready to hit the Ryan Bridge again, The Wabash, Kaskaskia, and the Sewer Pit. Got at least 1 trip planned for the Ohio, but long way down there.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL

AK-22,that sounds like a plan to me on the fishin' trips, that sewer line lake I'll pass ,Chip seems like a straight shooter,if your grease will light & burn w/o meltin' like this kind we use,I'd say you'd get by w/ greasin' twice a year,I ain't never seen grease like this before Chemco out of St. Louis makes the high dollar stuff, the 1 I'm usin' is called Impact from Georgia stretches like gum.

I talked to chip yesterday.guess I will have to go to brazil ind. to get Suzuki injector oil, nobody around heres got it..they put a limit on the flatheads and blues on the Wabash this year.well at least on the big ones...one fish per every 24 hours of 35 inches or more..no smaller than 15 inches..no limit on fish between 15 and 35 inches...
