Been Reading all the stuff about being behind the Walker breed
And how Redbones are not as good. Well I got one here that is better than most Walker dogs I have ever seen. He should have the opportunity to put close to 1000 pups on the ground, will that ever happen? Most likely not but I will keep promoting him over and over, I know how great he is as a coondog, reproducer and competition dog, a dog like RED is rare!!! When I was younger there were a few dogs that I wished I would have bred to. Some I regreted not breeding too. This is a hound you do not want to overlook. When I bought him from Dan Rankin at 2 he was not a finished dog yet!! He now is everything anyone could ever want! Loud, quick Strike Dog, good track dog, a hard hard treeing hound that is very very accurate, that hunts hard wherever he is put!
Beautiful mouth on him, big bawl on track, locates the tree with a couple of locates and then turns it over to a steady chop!
He is throwing young starting loud mouth dogs that get open quick and are very tree minded.
Last night I took him for 3 drops, first drop 400 yards in treed in 10 minutes, with REECE!! Second drop in 275 yards, he and Reece ran a hot track and split treed 15 yards away from one another, all over in 5 minutes. Third drop in 500 yards with a pup and treed in 5-10 minutes. Had the coon every drop!!
Really wished I had time to qualify him and put him in the world hunt!!! Been around the breed a long time 30 years and RED is one of the best that I have ever had opportunity to be around!!
Why would anyone need to breed to a Walker to get what think they need? All you got to do is come to RED, he has it!!
Please forgive me if I sound proud, I have only one intention and that is helping the breed and trying to get this hound bred to some good females, so someday people will say the REDBONE Breed is as good or better than the others!
I actually believe Redbones are ahead of the Walker breed right now. It is all about numbers!!!
Thanks for reading John
