Hayseedlady, I like seeing eagles, too; but not flying over r property. I'm afraid my cat or rat terrier will be its next meal. We saw 4 flying together last yr down by Tionesta Crk. We rode back there 3 days last wkend and didn't see any. Chuck has a place above the house that he takes all the carcasses. Last yr, we met a guy that saw us trapping and he came over and asked if we had any carcasses and if we did could he have them!! Chuck told him he could, but they were rotten. He didn't care because he puts them in chicken wire and collects the bones to sell. He said he made $3,000 in 2 wkends!!! Since we can't sell our hides for anything, we might have to check into bone collecting 😊
Hillbilly. No more QH's for me. I had 2 yrs ago and Appys, liked them. But Arabs are more my size and if I get anything different, I'm looking for something gaited. Everyone around here are riding gaited horses, I get tired of pushing Jas to keep up.
GA Dawg, Chuck went to Alaska hunting yrs ago. From what he said, I think coonhunters in Alaska might be called Grizzly bear snacks. He has a niece up there, I'll have to ask her about coon hunting.
I called NAFA about the coyote price in the newsletter the prices for Eastern avgd $18.55 and top price was $104. Section III avgd $3.87 and top price was $20. They had ours graded as I-II. Didn't think it would hurt to ask abiut it, but got a recording and no one has called back.
