Billy, I already had you down for making Kidd a Nite Champ before he turned three.Stinger is no doubt putting some real nice hounds out here.I`m going to pay Tree Daddy`s performance up if these females catch.I`m planning on paying Big Country up for next year if I get enough interest in anybody wanting to take a chance on a outstanding young male.just to many irons in the fire for me.it`s really tough having Stinger,Tree Daddy and Big Country out back just to many choice`s and Legend and King down the road.not to mention the young male`s out of Tree Daddy tied out back.its really tough,but I`ll get through it.life is really hard here.Thanks for everybody`s support of these old hounds.

Dinner is over, the wife's been fed, now it's time to post this mess before I lay down my head: Crow will be bred in the next week to Ellis Blue Jim. I have only listed 4 generations here. I'd like to thank Matt Turner for allowing me to breed to Ellis Blue Jim and not Stinger as I wanted (maybe next year).

If Crow does get bred; I do (and will) have a lot of money tied up with blood work, insemination cost, semen cost, travel, etc. These pups will not be too cheap. I hope to have a bunch, but we won't know for 10 weeks or so from now.

Hi Jim

Looks like a good cross and good luck with it!

Matt, I was roading the Roxy dog this am for exercise, about 2 miles into the roading she left the road and opened. So I stopped the truck and listened and I heard her, I was checking tracks to find out what she was working and she crossed the road in front of the truck. I went up to find..................a bear track! The Roxy dog was on her first bear this am. I ran back to the truck to cut an experienced dog in with her, figuring the track must be hot and the pot licker went into the woods about 10 feet cut back towards the road and took off in the wrong direction. URGH! Anyway, I listened to ROxy work the track and she went out of hearing. The track was not as fresh as I thought, if it had been, the other dog would of winded the track and would of made an easy cut to Roxy. Anyway, Roxy ran the track for about a mile or so and lost scent on a woods road. I dont know where she came to the woods road. I picked her up and went to find the other dog. I think Roxy will make a hound and I wish I would of slowed down a bit and cut the others in on the track. My screw up. Roxy seems to have some speed, too soon to tell how much. I just hope she takes,I like this cross should make good one`s.its hard to miss with this much solid blood.thanks for taking time to hunt and make her.she is from a cross thats turning some heads.
Robert,Thanks Again didn`t take long to get Wendy bred I hope the second cross turn`s out as good as the first good luck and I hope we get more females this time.
Jim,I like the pedigree on crow.alot of great hounds in her backround,influnced by some of the greatest diehard blueticker`s to this point.alot of men have put alot of time and heart into the hounds we have today.i`m very excited about this cross should be something special.thanks and I`ll be up your way in a few days.

I took my granddaughter hunting again last night we had a split tree on the first drop and both had coon.I also took my legend Female she did a real nice job treeing with Country.she acts like she is going to be a good one.this cross is working out real well.Lou has reproduced really well for me in both litters its going to be hard trying to decide which one I should breed her to next.I have 3 months before she comes back in.

Thank you guys who chose to breed to Tree Daddy this should put him over 50 pups if all three caught.goood luck.

it was a good picture of the hounds.I was looking at Ruby today and she looked and felt like she is filling out.this is the only litter that i`m planning on rasing this year and real excited about this cross.this cross should have some great track speed and some diehard tree power.should be a real balanced cross.

Busy weekend foreverone.I`ve been on the phone all day.It sounds like Lou`s offspring are clicking both Stinger and Legend pups are doing good.Tom Jennings young male Image received a UkC first place win.
Dave Smith in NY his Barker male out of Stinger and Lou treed another big bear.Dave has a real nice vidieo I can`t wait to see this one.I know the female plays a big part in breeding and Lou she has a good mouth and cold nosed to boot.I`m gonna have a hard time chosing who she gets bred to next time.
Sounds like Mike Fairchild`s female Angel is doing real nice for him also she is out of Stinger and Lou.
Glynn,sounds like your Stinger hounds you bred are reproducing pretty good too.

Stinger can move pretty good and tree them right in front of ya.it don`t take him to long to get a mile away either.he hunts real good when he`s not in shape or i should say been hunted for a couple weeks.putting in some of Dennis Upson`s hounds sure will keep their looks on the pretty side most of the time.I`m not complaning here.Did you have the hounds that went back through Cruise?
I`ve had some knee problems to.probably didn`t help jumping out of planes at Ft.Bragg and running all the 10 K runs.

I sure had a great time tonight meeting up with my Ol Buddie Wayne Baker.I really enjoyed his company.we sure had a good meal and exchanged a few stories.his sister and brothern law and friend mark were up this way.were going to meet up again saturday morning at Kenton and go through the flee market and hopefully i`ll meet the family of Eddie Ross.I did get to talk to Eddie`s daughter in law a few weeks back.she sure had some great stoires about Eddie and the Moutain Music Magazine and of course his hounds.
Its looking like we may have some puppies coming from Ruby.
