To answer a few questions-

I will not book any pups until I see that she's bred. Once I confirm that, I will contact you for the deposit. We haven't settled on a price but her last few litters have sold for $800 each to give you an idea. The pups will be paid up fully in super stakes and will be performance eligible.

I have several names of folks who are serious. If you tried to contact me and didn't hear back then that means I didn't get your message.

Pups are growing and getting big, starting to move around a little bit.

Juice is a coontreer and a PROVEN reproducer that has produced some BIG winners when bred to several different studs. Her pup earnings are OVER $21,000 currently. Her pups start early. Juice is the mother of 2017 Reserve SS Sophomore Champion GCH Pro Bait. Juice herself isn't coming back when you turn her loose, you'll find her treed somewhere. It seems like those that spoke for the pups are suffering from amnesia. I am still waiting on a couple of "promised" deposits. As a result I should have a few pups left to sell from the way everything is looking.

Pups are fully paid up in Super Stakes and are performance nominated. Pups are 2 weeks old as of yesterday 11/7/2018. They will be ready for pick up around December 19, 2018, just in time for Christmas.

I hauled Curly to his first PKC hunt Tuesday night. He coondogged the other dogs and earned his first cast win.

He scratched up a cold track and trailed it through the country. He ended up trailing past 2 other dogs that were treed, took it another 100 yards and came treed with a coon by himself. The other dogs had a possum and had some other minus. Curly stayed clean and had 150+.

He's still very young and still needs a lot of polishing. A good way to start his career, the first of many wins for this dog. He has the stuff.

He is on a roll.

Stylish Poison Curly went to town Saturday night to his first ever UKC hunt. He ended up treeing the only coon seen and wins his cast picking up a 2nd place win overall.

We have had a great week, picked up his first PKC cast win by getting split with a coon, picked up his first UKC win by treeing the only coon seen in 20 mph winds on one of the coldest nights we've had this fall into the mid 20's.

I took him last night to give him a little reward. He got struck almost off the tailgate, trailed it down a cutover bluff, across a corn field, through the river, back up the otherside up through a cutover ridge and treed him up on a big ridge on the mountain. He deserved it.

I took Curly hunting Wednesday night ahead of the big ice storm in the rain and sleet to hopefully do a little training on him and to polish on him a little bit. I had to work and didn't get to turn him loose until about 11:30 PM and it had been raining and sleeting steadily for about 4 hours. He ended up cutting a feeder track in a big hollow, cold trailed it down the hollow into the big hollow. Crossed the big creek, up over a big rock bluff, through a laurel thicket and treed him on the edge of a big cutover. It took him a little while to run it nearly 0.7 miles from where he started it. It turned out to be a big old boar coon. He did a heck of a good job on it and he impressed me. Curly boy has a bright future. He needs some polishing but he has the tools to be something big.

I'm motivated to get out there and push this wild thing. There is nothing more exciting to me than watching a young hound progress and make those big jumps on their way to being something good. Curly is doing that and he's coming along nicely.

The coons have been on lock down up here it seems the last 3 or 4 nights but before that we were seeing 10+ coons a night, treeing a few but seeing a lot just sitting up. Saturday night Curly traveled about a mile and eventually worked a dead cold track into a big den on top of the mountain. Last night he treed in 2 big white pines. The first one was huge but the second one was about half shineable. There was a big nest in the 2nd one but we never did manage to get them to look. Just the way it goes sometimes I guess.

I turned Swag loose last night for the first time in a couple of weeks since I've been pushing Curly. 900 yards, struck, worked a track across a creek, across a big hillside, came treed in the hollow and had the goodies. He sure is a pleasure to hunt. Almost automatic.

Curly has big shoes to fill. He's on the way though.

Curly did a good job on this one last night. He got struck in deep and ended up treeing him about 3/4 mile from where I turned him. Wind blowing and mid 20's. He has the right stuff.

On the 2nd drop about 12am this morning he hit a cold track, worked it for about 45 minutes and finally treed in a big den.

Curly picks up a 1st place win over the weekend ahead of the big snow. He got split with a coon and held on to finish on top. Now he only needs one more place to finish to NiteCh. He has a decent record so far. 4 hunts, 3 wins and 1 dead cast. He still needs some polishing but is proving to be a cast winner.

Had a good hunt Saturday night with Swag and Curly. Swag treed 2 singles and a big den. Curly treed 2 singles. Not bad for a cool full moon night in the VA mountains.

On a sad note, GrNiteCh 'PR' Trackmans Stylish Witch has passed away. She was one of the nicest trackman females I have had the pleasure of hunting with. It was a pleasure owning breeding and hunting her and over the last couple of years.

Curly boy is making them live hard lately. Cold, rain, 2AM, Curly trees them coons. He may be the fastest, most honest strike dog I have ever seen go! He barks as soon as he gets a whiff of it and will hold that 100 strike all night.

I was pleasantly surprised and honored to see the cover of the February Treeing Walker special issue of Coonhound Bloodlines.

PKC CH NiteCh 'PR' Pigg River Moonlite Molly graced the cover of the magazine.

I picked her up as a 7 week old pup, raised, trained and finished her to what she was. She had some holes and used to drive me CRAZY at times but when she was on her game, you might beat me but you weren't going to beat her. She would mix some but get split a lot in a cast. She was the fastest thing I have ever hunted as far as getting treed right. She would dominate a cast, getting a little of yours and then putting up two more coons behind or in front of your dog.

I had plans to finish her and breed her to Swag but I never could get her bred. I ended up selling her to a pleasure hunter in VA who enjoyed her for several years.
