I know lots of people that live free from sin. Why in the world would you believe he had the power to save you but didn't have the power to keep you? There's no such thing as a sinning Christian. A true Christian means Christ like and Christ like means with out sin. Idk if your a preacher or what religion you are but you are badly fooled. What religion are you?

If your "saved" but still sin, what are you saved from? thats like wipin before you poop, it dont make sense. its also like a judge saying to a child molester, "im forgiving you for the last 30 kids you molested and all the ones your gonna molest, try not to molest but if you do no big deal its okay. God made heaven and hell, why did he create a hell if nobodies gonna go there? theres got to be a penalty for the ones that sin. jail on earth and hell in eternity.

if you study in your bible (king james version), new testament, Salvation is the first work of grace and sanctification is the second which fills you with gods spirit as he created adam and eve in the beginning. once adam and eve sinned in the garden. every child thenceforth was created with sin in them, God didnt allow a sinner in the garden, hes not gonna allow a sinner in heaven.

Here is my response

Please read this....I hope this helps explain where I'm coming from. Everyone is entitled to their own belief and interpretation of the Bible. These are not my words but the Lord's words. I never intend to hurt feelings or insult....
Have a blessed day from Riverbottom Ron.

“Sin” is any thought, word, or action that is contrary to the character or law of God. We all sin (Romans 3:23), and even what we consider good deeds are often tainted by selfish motives or pride (Isaiah 64:6). Left to ourselves, it is impossible to please God or to be completely free from sin (Romans 3:10;_Ecclesiastes 7:10).

When we come to Christ by faith and trust Him to forgive and cleanse us of all our sin, we are in that moment born again (John 3:3). That new birth of the spirit results in a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). God gives therepentant sinner_a new heart that is now turned toward obeying and pleasing Him rather than self (2 Corinthians 5:9;_Romans 8:5–6). Whereas we were formerly slaves to sin, we are now “slaves to righteousness” (Romans 6:16). Sin’s control has been broken by the power of Jesus (Romans 6:6;_Titus 2:14).

However, we still live in the flesh, and the flesh is prone to want what it wants. In_Romans 7:21–23, Paul admits the battle between flesh and spirit in his own life: “So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.” Each battle with temptation is won or lost based upon how fully we are_surrendered_to the control of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16–17).

The book of 1 John was written to Christians. The apostle says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:8–9). It is clear from this passage that even those who have been born again and redeemed by the blood of Jesus will still sin. Through thought, attitude, or action, we will “grieve” (Ephesians 4:30) and “quench” (1 Thessalonians 5:19) the Holy Spirit at times. But this passage also reassures us that God offers continual, ongoing grace whenever we agree with Him about our sin and ask for His cleansing.

However, other passages clarify the boundaries of this ocean of grace._First John 3:6_says, “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.” Verse 9 says that those who have been “born of God” will not continue to live sinfully. The implication is that this is not a matter of trying harder. Rather, it is the equivalent of saying, “A fish cannot remain on land for long because its nature is to seek water.” A fish could flop onto the shore and survive for a short time. But it was not made for land and cannot continue there. When we are born again, our natures change, and we cannot continue in sin. Christ not only erases our past sin; He also transforms our hearts so that we no longer desire it (Colossians 2:13–14).

Paul asked, “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” (Romans 6:1–2). Although Christians will still sin after being saved, the heart change that the Holy Spirit brings will result in a new attitude toward sin. Sin cannot continue being a lifestyle choice if we have surrendered our lives to Jesus. That’s what it means to say that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9;_Colossians 2:6). We have a new boss. We cannot be followers of Christ and followers of sin at the same time. They are going in opposite directions (Luke 9:23;_14:33)._Romans 12:2instructs, “Be transformed by the_renewing of your mind.” Renewal can take some time, but it is a process that produces a change of behavior.

When a true child of God goes astray, our Father administers discipline to bring him back into obedience.Hebrews 12:7–8_says, “It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.” If a professing Christian can choose a lifestyle of sin without experiencing enough discipline to bring them to repentance, then according to this Scripture, it is highly unlikely that that person is a child of God.

Do Christians sin? Yes. Do they willfully continue in sin? No. Scripture indicates that, while we will always “fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), we have the hope that the power of God is at work in us to “make us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image” (2 Corinthians 3:18, NLT).

It's like this, we ALL sin, no can go through life with out sinning, even if you are born again, Jesus died for our sins, and if you ask him, to truly forgive you of your sins and truly believe in your heart then you are saved, he forgave you of the past, present and future sins, the word is FUTURE that means, GOD knows that we will sin again but if you ask forgiveness and do NOT KEEP doing the sin you are saved, its when you think or keep on doing the sin is when God will not for give you !!!
JESUS was the only one who never SINED!!, that is why he had to be born from the VIRGIN Marry, we are just Human, and we can not help but slip or sin, now an again, but in stead of looking at that person and thinking he is going to go HELL, we need to forgive and PRAY for them that God will help them not to keep on sinning, Jesus forgive us, and we need to forgive too and help, and LOVE one another and Jesus said I am the way the only way to the Father. this is what my Bible says we are to LOVE, and FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER BECAUSE I (JESUS) SAID I LOVE AND FOR GIVE YOU, JUST ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE!! GOD is Full of Love, and Mercy, that is what it means to be Christ LIKE! TO LOVE, HAVE MERCY, AND TO HAVE FORGIVENESS FOR ONE ANOTHER !!!! LOVE THEY NEIGHOR AS THYSELF!!

Colossians 1:27-28

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.

Forgive me Lord for I am indeed saved yet remain a poor miserable sinner.... I believe in you and your only begotten Son and I believe that I have indeed been saved by your grace and mercy and then forgiven (as I fall short of your glory) as I repent and ask the LORD for the forgiveness of my sins while here on earth. Oh what a loving and forgiving SAVIOR is he......

ok let me explain this. again im here to offend nobody.

The very remission of the son of god in coming to earth was to bring salvation to lost, sinful man. Luke 19:10, 1 Timothy 1:15

salvation means:
the act of saving or delivering
bible salvation is, deliverance from the power and penalty of sin. Matthew 1:21, 1 John 3:5

is salvation a possibility now? yes!
salvation can be neglected in this life. Hebrews 2:3
real faith in God is necessary to be saved. Acts 16:30-31
Romans 10:9-10

The word of God records that many obtained salvation in the apostolic times 1 Peter 1:9, 1 Corinthians 1:18

Salvation is described by three different aspects of the same work. justification, conversion, and the new birth

Romans 3:23-28, II Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:1

If we are saved, shall we continue to sin? The word of God says no. Romans 6:1-2

Bible salvation means to be converted or changed from what one used to be, to aquire different beliefs, desires, and attitudes.

Conversion is necessary to have victory over sin in this life and to make heaven our eternal home. Acts 3:19, Matthew 18:3

Bible salvation does not change a sinner into a sinning christian. It changes a sinner into a saint and touches every area of his life, enabling him to live a holy life.

The doctrine of the new birth is fundemental and absolutely necessary in becoming a christian. John 3:3

All men are creatures of God, but all men are NOT r=the children of God as popular belief has it today. John 1:11-13, 1 John 3:9-10

Is it possible to be born again? 1 John 5:1

The evidences of Salvation, or, how we can know we are saved.
We have victory over sin; We do NOT sin. 1 John 3:8-9, 5:18

The apostles knew it as a blessed reality. 1 John 3:14

Not only is there a freedom from the burden and guilt of sinj, but there are new desires, new hopes, and Holy directions in our lives. II Corinthians 5:17-18

Another evidence of Salvation is that we love God and Will obey his word. John 14:15, 23

The internal witness of the spirit of God. Romans 8:16

The bible says theres no man without sin... BEFORE he gets saved! You show me in the bible where after anybody that got saved, christ still called a sinner. after his deciples got saved and sanctified, do you recall them sinning or christ calling them sinners? i think not.

And yes true bible salvation will cause you to never ever do or say or think about any of those things you just mentioned.

when God created adam and eve, it was in his image (sin free), when the devil tempted them and they gave in and ate of the tree they were no longer in gods image and kicked them out of the garden. and he said every child from now on will be born with that innocent seed. when a child is born and grows up to about three years old you dont have to teach him to lie. you ask "kid did you get in the candy"? and he says "no" when hes got chocalate all over his mouth. thats what the bible is talking about when its says no man is without sin.

Unchanged

Im sorry I didnt get my dailey post on here early, I was converseing with Mr Merle about Sin ..So heres my devotion for the day Unchanged

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” - James 1:22-25

James gives this description of a man who hears the Word but doesn’t practice it. He says you are like a person who wakes up in the morning and his beard is grown out, his hair is tousled, he has bags under his eyes, and he's still got soup on his mustache from last night! He glances in the mirror, sees he needs to put his face in shape, but he just goes his way and goes off to work! He forgets what he saw in the mirror. There’s no change—no bathing, no shaving, no combing. He's just like he was! He glanced in the mirror, saw it, and forgot it.

Notice this verse says one person “observes”—and soon forgets. The other “looks into” and continues—he obeys the Word of God. “Beholding” or “observing” means a casual glance. “Looking into” means a careful gaze. It’s the same word used when the disciples raced to the empty tomb, and bending over, they peer into the darkness intently, with eyes set, searching, trying to see everything that they can see. It means to look steadfastly.

That's the way you're to look into the Word of God. Not just a casual glance but a steadfast, careful, gazing into the Word and a careful examination of the Word. Look into it, pick it up, read it, study it, scrutinize it. God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron,,,Prayers for all

Hebrews 7:25

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

It is written:

"Let the one without sin cast the first stone!".... and soon the multitude had dispersed. Glory be to God!!

Hi Merle People in the Bible did still sin. I do not believe that once a person is saved he lives a life on earth without sin. The Bible doesn't teach any such doctrine and in fact it teaches the very opposite. One of the primary passages dealing with the believer's (that is, those who are saved) attitude and position on sin is 1 John. This epistle was written to first century Christians and addresses the concepts of sin, believers and nonbelievers. Verses 6 and 7 state "If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not know the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin." The above passage shows that those who are believers will not be in habitual sin - with the idea of walking in the darkness having a connotation of intentional, repetitive disobedience.

However, John follows these verses with "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Here, the apostle says that Christians who claim to be sin free are deceiving themselves and he calls into question their very salvation for making such a claim! You see, the idea of being born again means that we should be transformed day by day into the image of Christ. Although we should strive for perfection (Matt. 5:48), it doesn't mean that we'll be perfect. When we're born again we receive a new, godly nature (Eph. 4:24), but our old nature also still exists. Paul talks about this in Romans chapter 7 when he says "For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not... For I joyfully concur with God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members." (vss. 18,21) Here we can see how even Paul struggled with sins in his own life, but he knew he was saved and he would be victorious one day.

This is why Paul makes such big deal about God's grace in the book of Romans. He writes "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him." (Rom. 5:8-9) He also says "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand." (vss. 1-2) Paul knows that he cannot stop sinning, but he rejoices in the fact that God will forgive him of his sins through grace. Grace means that we can be forgiven.

So, since Christians are saved, does that mean that they can sin whenever they want? No, it doesn't. Paul makes it clear that Christians don't have a free ride either. Right after he wrote the verses mentioned above, he said "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" John also shows that sin shouldn't be taken lightly, but needs to be confessed by the Christian "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9) As I said at the beginning of this letter, Christians should strive for perfection, even though they know they won't attain it. Jesus sums this up best when He said "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." (John 14:15)

I hope this has helped you better understand the role of grace and sin in the life of the believer. Please let me know if you would like anything clarified or if you have further questions. I pray that you will continue to seek after God and learn of him. Have a Blessed one,Mr Merle,, All of the scripture in this post is Gods Word
Not mine or anyone elses...From The Riverbottom,,,Ron

The Answer To All Our Problems

Good Mornin ! Its been stormin here in the bottoms, wind and rain. Were suppose to get some more today.I will be leaveing for Black and Tan Days maybe this after noon and wont be on here for a week or so. So if any of you would like to get on here and help Brad pick up the slack while Im gone .It would be great and it would be some fresh posters and maybe different views. Lets get to the message for the day. The Answer to All Our Problems

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” - 1 Corinthians 1:18

I once met a lawyer in my doctors office. We began to talk about what we liked to read. I said, “I read newspapers, books, journals, devotional studies, but primarily the Bible.”

He said, “If you don’t read any further than that, how do you know what to talk about when you speak to people?”

I said, “Sir, man only has three problems: sin, sorrow, and death.”

He answered, “There are more than that.”

I replied, “No, only three.”

“Oh,” he said, “there are other problems.”

I said, “All right, tell me another.”

He thought for a few moments, and said,Your right “Man only has three problems.”

That’s true. And the cross of Jesus Christ is the only answer to those three problems. You give me all of the wisdom of this world…,,,,,,,,,.but there is no other answer apart from the cross.

The Jews want a sign; it is the Cross. The Greeks want wisdom; it is the Cross. To this world it is foolishness, but to God it is not foolishness. Now, thank God for the message of the Cross. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron ...Prayers for you all

Philippians 2:5-8

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death.....even death on a cross!

AMEN!

1 John 5:14-15

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.

GOT FAITH????
