Coon season came in at midnight, I woke Chuck up at 11:45 to get ready...I thought to go hunting; but he said it was too wet and went to bed.
Hope u have better weather than we do for ur ride, HB. Its cold and windy here. Do u have a 6 mon or 6 ek archery season? Chuck didn't convince me to get my archery license, but I think its in 6 wks.
He saw the game commission truck with crates on it this wk; they're probably stocking ringnecks.

Well,Well,Well ..... GO CUBS GO!!!!! It's about time but they ain't won it all yet.Got some Card fan friends that are even wantin' a Cubs win,ole Chuck better bolt down the fort till the idiots that spoil it for everybody else cool down.....bout mid spring if that.Now would be a great time ta make a killin' in alcohol stock in the windy.

Hope u got to ride today, HB. It ended up being nice here, but I told the dogs I'd take them for a walk since we haven't been hunting since Wed or Thurs. Before we left Chuck's brother called and asked if we had hay for sale. Some guy wanted 10 bales to mulch with. As soon as he left, I started out the lane with the dogs. We don't lead them much so I thought unless a coon was involved, they were pretty good. I got a rude awakening!!! Stopped to talk to a few campers/neighbors and they whined and wouldn't be still, barked at other dogs and tried dragging me. I had to put the chain on their leashes around their necks to help hold them back. Guess we'll have to work on that 😊

yea we got it in took a short cut still got 5- 1/2hrs in had pretty good time i drink a few but they was a couple guys got plum outa whack thier horse was smater than they was

I have a couple of friends I ride with that don't drink. But most of the time, if we get out the alcohol with the usual gals I camp with, I'm the only sober one in the group.

Thought I'd ride today, but its raining here today...maybe tomorrow.
Wednesday is my mother-in-laws 93rd bday. She wants to go to the casino. My sister-in-law is taking her up tomorrow and they're staying all night. We're taking Chuck's sister and maybe MIL's friend up on Wed to meet them for lunch...Wednesday looks like the nicest day of the wk so Chuck and I r both a little bummed that we'll be at the casino and not in the woods, but we know this might be the last casino b-day party for his mom and want to spend it with her.

Our hen of the woods the same as sheep's head. A friend gave me sheep's head yrs ago, we weren't fans. She canned it.
Yep, HB, u need to stay away from the cigs. Chuck gave up chewing yrs ago. Then about 2 yrs ago, we went into a smoke store with a friend and he picked up 2 cartons of little cigars because they were only $5 each. He said he'd have them for months, but that didn't happen. He was asking me to bring him home some every time we went to the casino. He's cutting back now because he has that lump in his throat. He sees the specialist in Dec.

From what I heard the Cubs were up last night 5-1,can't get the game warm weather is back on it's way,what's coon hides worth this year? Got a big black coon hit on the highway up by Oakland,ain't gonna pick it up,been there 4 days.

Thanks HB and Chuck. The dr told us the tests came back "normal" but still wants him to see the specialist. Better safe than sorry.

It was suppose to rain all day so, I went to the casino with friends. Went yesterday, too (family get together for mother-in-law's 93rd bday). I brought a little of my $ home that I left there yesterday, but I need a really BIG WIN!

Sorry to hear about your cousin, HB.

We had Ruby and Dandy out tonight. We took Ruby out first. She treed twice...once in a big oak tree with lots of leaves and the second time in a big tall pine. We couldn't find any coons. Brought her home and took Dandy out. He tried, but just couldn't find anything.
