Ruby is cracking us up. She was just out and doesn't think blizzard like conditions should keep us from going coonhunting tonight. She was barking at me, but now she's walking around the house looking out the windows whining. Guess I'll have to get out the ice cream to take her mind off hunting.

What kind of ponies did u pull with? I've went to mini pulls, they're pretty neat. Probably not going to the Island again. But we are going to Salamanca to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Indians. I could have bought a nice gaited horse with the $ I lost at the casinos this yr 😟. Next yr, might be the yr of the new 🐎 and not near as much casino time.

last pair we pulled was light weights the team could only weigh 1150 never did pull any minis but watch the amish kids out in indiana pull them at the sale i may buy another horse this spring id have to start from scratch sold my trailer had a brand new ropin saddle sold it everything i have can be bought if the price is right all my harness is gone im just outa the bussiness for a spell

had a busy weekend..got to go fishing Friday..got 56 crappie......got one 15 and half incher.........sat. and sunday I butchered 5 deer for the gun hunters...plus the damage control trap line..caught the last beaver and picked up a dozen more rats.....

Glad ur new meds r working for u, Chuck. Hope they continue to do so.

Rex, u did have a busy wkend!! It takes us about 4 hrs to cut up one deer.

R deer season starts next Monday. Chuck didn't get a deer in archery season so, I'll have my treestand to myself (he usually helps me watch) because his plan right now is to go to the big woods. I have a couple of friends that might want to come, but I'd rather be by myself in buck season. R 35 acres gets surrounded in buck season so its kind of hard to c one. I've only got one buck out it since we built it in in 2009.

it sure felt like coonhunting weather tonight..i didn't break a sweat anyway...we dumped out she made three barks on the ground and then hit the lumber..one coon..cut her loose again ..went a quarter mile..made a den...I quit while I was ahead..boys said they were going to cut loose again...I came home......

Rex, its a good thing to quit when ur ahead. Wish I could do that at the casino. 😉 But I usually don't get ahead....just kind of a downhill thing from the time I get there. Always telling Chuck when we're hunting to end on a good note.

Just had a little 5 pt in the orchard, bet he won't be around next wk. Don't really want him, but a little one is better than none.

So far Chuck's hunting season hasn't been going to well. No buck in archery season and no bear this yr, today was the last day. Hope he has better luck on Monday because he tends to be a whiner when he doesn't get anything.

We're celebrating Thanksgiving like the Pilgrims did...we're letting the Indians cook for us at the casino.

Ate way too much. Only lost $5.00, I was up $5, but Chuck was down $10 so we aren't complaining. Took the dogs out and treed a coon, then came home in time to watch the Steeler game.

Cloudy and damp here. Waiting for Chuck to get home with the propane tank for my tree stand so we can go get a few things to munch on while we're hunting. Hoping folks are at Black Friday sales and the grocery store isn't packed.

We're not allowed to bait here, but my tree stand is beside a food plot. Chuck said the deer are really working it.
Took the dogs out tonight. We got permission to hunt a new place, but the guy said he didn't think there were any coon there. Ruby treed one first then Dandy treed and there were 3 in that tree. Went another place and Ruby treed in a pine, then they treed again and we brought it home.
