Been busy gettin' everything ready for winter,checked antifreeze in autos & tractors & changed what needed,got pump house heat plugged in,oil changed in 1 p/u truck,dogs strawed,cleaned up some brush,no play time here.Few great white hunters got deer & done a bunch of shootin'. Most likely scared 'em too death Been seein' more does than bucks,ain't seen the big 1 since a week before gun season.Squirrel in town movin' more than here,leaves are 'bout all off so time ta go,went out scoutin' them greys are gunny,couldn't shoot 1 if I tried by the time ya see 1 poof their gone.

Blue jays r having a party in the orchard...must be a doz out there today.
Have to get ready for tomorrow, its the first day of buck season here. A zillion guys r at their camps. Chuck's been complaining about not getting a buck in archery season all wk. Next yr, he's shooting the first legal buck he sees!! I think he only saw a 5 pt this yr that he passed up. Ckd the trail camera card yesterday from the orchard...the 12 pt came in a couple of nights with his buddies!

went out with the boys last night ..treed 3 coons then the dawg thought she needed washed off.so she swam the river.l didn't go with them on that one...

Rex, what breed of hound does ur son hunt with?
We knew if we hunted deer today, we probably wouldn't feel like taking the dogs out tonight. Its really windy here tonight so its good night to stay home anyways.

Chuck came home about 11 am with a 10 pt. He was surprised I got the 12 pt and wanted to get it skinned so we could show it off a little bit and take it to the taxidermist. By the time we got them skinned and quartered it was supper time. Only had time to take them to his dad's and the taxidermist.

Thanks for the congrats. If I could figure out Photobucket, I'd post pictures, but I can't even get on it anymore. My buck has an inside spread of just over 19" it looks like a 10 pt, but at the last pts on each side there are little pts about an inch long pointing inward. The rack is low and longest pt is 7 inches.

another wet moronin here been pokein the rain down sense early moronin hrs got up at 4am was gone go huntin but rain way to hard hasn't quit yet td& chuck must be on strike not on here much anymore things are getting boreing lol

that was a long hunt for one coon..from strike to tree, one hour and 17 min.s...don't know if was the tracking conditions or the dog..but sure was a lot of boo whoing and pecking along a hillside..then down in to a creek bottom more piddling around on track..bark a couple times shut up for ten min.s then a couple more barks.. didn't go 40 yards...finally got treed on the right tree..i think the coon was down before dark..we turned loose no more than 15 min.s after dark..just seemed like a cold old bad track....

We took the dogs out last night. They both treed twice in separate trees. Only saw coon in Ruby's last tree. There were 2 kits in it.

We cut up our bucks today...ALL DAY😞 Both of us are complaining about r backs hurting.
