Sin Is The Cause;Christ Is The Cure

Good Mornin ! Its nice and cool this mornin It was so hot here the last few days Ole grampa here has been hitin the swimin hole everyday to cool off. Its only 3 feet deep and 12 feet across but my grand daughter Sophies Pool out on the deck works just fine. I just might get down to the pool again this afternoon. Lets get to the message for the day. Sin is the Cause; Christ is the Cure!

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” - Romans 5:12

Some would say that man is but the sum total of his environment and his body chemistry. If he does wrong, it's because he's like a computer that has been programmed wrongly. If he was raised in a bad neighborhood, he shouldn’t be blamed for breaking into stores or smoking dope. Or if he has a vile temper, perhaps he had an overbearing mother. Or a father that down graded him and even punched him once in awhile.

According to psychologists, these unfortunate souls may be pitied but not blamed. They may be sick, but they’re not sinful. They may be weak but not wicked. They need guidance but not salvation. But these social evaluators are wrong!Very wrong!

Are you blaming others? Or taking responsibility and coming to the Cross? Let me sum it up this way: life is short; death is sure; sin is the cause; and Christ is the cure. Ask JESUS into your life. Then you will see how great life can be . It will be so very different from the way your livin,,,God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron Prayers for you all.

Psalm 68:4-5

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him; his name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.

AMEN!

God Already Knows

Good Mornin ! We had a little rain last night and boy did we need it. havent had any for a while. For those that complain about the heat of summer,,,Ole man winter is on its way,Hes gearin up for a good snowy winter this year.Where has this year gone ? I just live for the day anymore I dont really care about time..Lets get to todays message. God Already Knows

“And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.” - Genesis 22:13

I don't know what your problem is today, but God already knows the answer.

Abraham thought he had a problem when he was going up to sacrifice Isaac. He didn't know how his need was going to be met. But the moment Abraham started up one side of that mountain with Isaac, on the other side, a ram started up—the ram that was going to be the substitute for Isaac.

Abraham never saw the ram, but God saw it. God sent it. God planned for the substitutionary sacrifice long in advance. And I want to tell you, God knows a way for you. God has a plan for you—a plan for all of us.

God's children are never to panic. Worry is an insult to Almighty God. Trust God—He already knows. He will take care of everything as it comes along. That is those times when he looks at you to see if you are really trusting him and believeing he can do anything...God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,Ron Need anything ? Just ask.

I Love Jesus Christ

Hello! Here is a good read that I found . I want to say { " I Love Jesus Christ " too ! } Love Jesus Christ

One of the most memorable moments of my seminary days was during the school year 1968–69 at Fuller Seminary on the third level of the classroom building just after a class on systematic theology. A group of us were huddled around James Morgan, the young theology teacher who was saying something about the engagement of Christians in social justice. I don’t remember what I said, but he looked me right in the eye and said, “John, I love Jesus Christ.”

It was like a thunderclap in my heart. A strong, intelligent, mature, socially engaged man had just said out loud in front of a half dozen men, “I love Jesus Christ.” He was not preaching. He was not pronouncing on any issue. He was not singing in church. He was not trying to get a job. He was not being recorded. He was telling me that he loved Jesus.

The echo of that thunderclap is still sounding in my heart. That was 40 years ago! There are a thousand things I don’t remember about those days in seminary. But that afternoon remains unforgettable. And all he said was, “John, I love Jesus Christ.”

James Morgan died a year later of stomach cancer, leaving a wife and four small children. His chief legacy in my life was one statement on an afternoon in Pasadena. “I love Jesus Christ.”

Loving Jesus is natural and necessary for the children of God. It’s natural because it’s part of our nature as children of God. “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God” (John 8:42). The children of God have the natural disposition to love his Son.

Loving Jesus is also necessary because Paul says that if you don’t love Jesus, you will be cursed: “If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed” (1 Corinthians 16:22). Loving Jesus is an essential (not optional) mark of being a beneficiary of God’s grace. “Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible” (Ephesians 6:24). If you hold fast to the love of anything above Jesus, you are not his disciple: “Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:37).

Loving Jesus is not the same as obeying all of Jesus’ commands. Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). That means that obedience to the commandments is the result of loving Jesus, not the same as loving Jesus. Love is something invisible and inside. It is the root that produces the visible fruit of loving others.

So here at the beginning of 2009, I join James Morgan in saying, “I love Jesus Christ.”

And as I say it, I want to make clear what I mean:

I admire Jesus Christ more than any other human or angelic being.
I enjoy his ways and his words more than I enjoy the ways and words of anyone else.
I want his approval more than I want the approval of anyone else.
I want to be with him more than I want to be with anyone else.
I feel more grateful to him for what he has done for me than I do to anyone else.
I trust his words more fully than I trust what anyone else says.
I am more glad in his exaltation than in the exaltation of anyone else, including me.
Would you pray with me that in 2009 we would love Jesus Christ more than we ever have? And may our Lord Jesus grant that from time to time we would deliver quietly and naturally a thunderclap into the hearts of others with the simple words, “I love Jesus Christ.”

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory” (1 Peter 1:8).
God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,,Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers sent for all.

Seek Me And You Will Find Me

Good Mornin, Its sure been hot here in the riverbottoms lately. But thats ,OK. Garden is growin good ,Maters are on the vine ,But just need to turn that ripen red. cant wait to sink my teeth into a little bacon lettus, tomato, and hellmans mayo ! Lets get to the message for the day. Seek Me And You Will Find Me You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.’
Jeremiah 29:13

“Just follow your heart and you can’t go wrong.” Those offering that advice don’t understand that “The heart is more deceitful than all else” (Jeremiah 17:9-10). However, when the focus of the heart is the quest for God, then the heart “leads” in the right direction. God is love, and wants to be found. He doesn’t conceal Himself in an attempt to avoid us. Rather, He wants us to desire Him as He desires us. Seeking and searching for Him is looking for His heart. When a person’s heart seeks and searches for God’s heart, discovery is guaranteed. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,,Have a Blessed Day,,,YYour Friend In Christ,,,from The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers for everyone..

Fear Not !!!

Hey ! Hey! Hey ! Another day. The sun is shinein , GOD is good! He's with us! He loves us!He takes care of us! What more could we ask for ? Lets get on to the message. Fear Not And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” - Exodus 14:13

Three hundred and sixty-five times in the Bible—once for every day of the year—it says, “Fear thou not,” or its equivalent, “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man shall do.”

Sometimes we come to a place where things are out of our hands. There is nothing we can do. Oh, we hurry around trying, conniving, and scheming. But finally we come to a place where God hems us in, and there is no way out but up. God places us where there is nothing we can do. There is no one to help us. God just says, “Fear not, stand still … and see the salvation of the LORD.”

Read those words again: “ye shall see them again no more forever.” When God takes care of a matter, He takes care of it. Oh, we will always have problems—life is a continuing series of opportunities to trust God. Our part is to trust and say “Lord I will not fear; I will stand firm and wait to see Your salvation.” Why you might ask ? Just because God Loves Ya ...... We Love Ya,,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron Prayers for all !

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Simply Obey

Good Mornin ! Its a great day. Live it for the LORD. and simply---- Simply---- Obey

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.” - Isaiah 55:8

The Bible is not primarily a book to be explained; it is first and foremost a book to be believed and obeyed. Whether you understand it or not, when God says it, you just simply obey it.

And don't substitute human reasoning for obedience. So many times we like to tell God how He ought to do things. I can imagine those early disciples when Saul was making havoc of the church and hauling Christians off to prison and death. I imagine there were many praying, “Oh, God, do something about Saul. Strike him dead.” But God didn't want to strike him dead. God struck him alive! And aren't you glad He did?

Isn't it strange how God works? You see, our ways and God's ways are so different. This is when we have to say, “I will trust You and obey.” God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,,Ron Prayers sent.

God Reigns,Rules,Overrules,and Overrides

Yee Haaa ! Its Friday once again.Time to get stuff done around the Pondarosa . My tomatoes are sure getin big,It wont be long now. The year is half over and were headed for wintertime once again. Now lets get to the message for the day,,,God Reigns, Rules, Overrules and Overrides

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord as the rivers of water. He turneth it whithersoever He will.” - Proverbs 21:1

God can change a ruler, God can remove a ruler, and God can overrule a ruler.

You ask, “Should I pray for my leader if he’s wicked?” You ought to pray all the more for him. Why? Because the Bible says, “I exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men; for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.” - 1 Timothy 2:1-3

The greatest responsibility in America is not in the White House but in the church house. We’re to pray for our government. Pray for those who are in authority. No matter how much we dont like what they do or say or change.God knows what there doing and he will take care of it in his time.If its wrong ,,which we have seen a lot of wrong being done in the White House and everywhere else in our country.

Would you pray for America right now? You might pray, “Oh God, bless America. Lord, we deserve judgment, but we need mercy. Bring this nation, Lord, back to You. The troubles that we see in our land are tokens of Your love to bring us to our knees. Lord, it’s beyond us. God, we need You in America.” God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,, Ron.....Prayers for all..See ya in church Sunday

Romans 12:3

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you; Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Remember to remain HUMBLE at all times as you carry out HIS work and you shall experience and receive the fruits of the Spirit. Amen!

Good Mornin

The weather has changed and its cooled off nice its suppose to rain for the next 5 days. We need the rain Maybe those old maters hangin on the vine will turn red. Last night I had the weridest dreams ,Id wake up and go back to sleep and it would start of right where I was before I woke up. I was dreaming that my life just fell apart,It went from how it is right now to being homeless ,No wife,No family No car, No job,No nothin, No friends,,I was lieing and stealing just to live.I was down at the bottom of the pit. Then I for some reason ,seen my mom and dad drive by in a car as I was walking down the highway. They stoped and had me get in. I started crying and telling them how sorry I was for the way That Ive been and the way my life turned out. Ole dad started telling me that he forgave me and so did mom but they said ya better ask GOD to forgive ya,Hes the one that you sinned against. I right then started askin GOD to forgive me.I was down on my knees in the back floorboard of that big ole 56 buick that dad was drivin....... Then I woke up,My heart was beatin a hundred miles and hour,I was scared, and I was so glad to see my wife Karen laying there. and our little dog Petey layin there lookin at me..Ya know what it was nice seein my mom and dad they hadnt changed a bit and they died many years ago. another thing when mom and dad said they forgave me they also said they LOVED me. Though this was only a dream for me . If you have experenced a dream like I had in real life..Dont worry just ask GOD to forgive you and come into yer life and he will and your life will be changed.. Sweet Dreams I hope ya ask GOD to come into yer life.God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day ,,,Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers sent for you all.

God Has Ordained Human Government

Happy 4th of July.Enjoy the day as we celebrate our freedom and independence .The USA is still the best country on earth! I wouldnt want to live anywhere else.Lets get to the message for the day God Has Ordained Human Government

“And He changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth kings and raiseth up kings….” - Daniel 2:21

What does the Word of God have to say about government? It teaches that God has ordained human government. The prophet Daniel said that God is the one who removes kings and God is the one who sets up kings. And Romans13 teaches that the powers that be are ordained of God.

What about wicked governments? Did God set them up? It may surprise you to learn, yes, He did. That does not mean they are God’s will. God would much rather have righteousness. But by and large people get the kind of government they deserve. Wicked leaders are God’s reward for a wicked people.

What are we to do as a church? What is my responsibility so far as government is concerned? First of all, we are to pray for our government. We need to pray for leaders even if they are wrong“For this is good and acceptable and right in the sight of God our Savior” (1 Timothy 2:3).I am calling upon you to confess your sins personally and our sins nationally. And I am calling upon you to pray for America as Daniel prayed for his people—in the power of the shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is prayer time in America. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron... Prayers for all

Isaiah 12:4

In that day you will say:

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted."

The Truth About Lieing

Good Mornin ! I hope you had a nice 4th of July celebration. It was wet here as it rained alot. but we didnt let it rain on our celebration .We BBQ under the carport and that BBQ chicken and pork steak was still pretty tasty. Lets get to the message for the day. The Truth about Lying

"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."
—Exodus 20:16

There are times when it is hard for us to tell the truth. I am not talking about telling a bold-faced lie. Rather, I am talking about those situations in which it's difficult to tell the truth because you don't want to hurt someone's feelings.

There are many ways we can lie. For example, think of those times when someone asks for your opinion on something. "What do you think?" they will say.

So you might tell a little white lie. "Well, I have never seen anything quite like it!" or "That's one of the most fascinating performances I've ever seen!"

Then there are those instances when someone calls, and you don't want to answer the phone. So you say, "Tell them I'm not home."

What about those times when you say, "I forgot," and you didn't forget, or "It was the traffic," and it wasn't the traffic, or "I am so glad you called. I was just getting ready to call you," and you weren't.

There are other ways we can lie as well, and that is through gossip. Gossip topples governments, wrecks marriages, ruins careers, destroys reputations, and causes nightmares. It spawns suspicions and generates grief. Even the very word hisses when we say it: gossip. It really is from the Serpent. Proverbs 20:19 says, "He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets; Therefore do not associate with one who flatters with his lips."

A helpful principle before you repeat something can be summed up in one word: THINK. Ask yourself these questions the next time you're about to repeat information:

T—Is it truthful? Are you sure it's true?
H—Is it helpful?
I—Is it inspiring?
N—Is it necessary?
K—Is it kind?

If it doesn't pass that test, then don't say it. I think we have all done this at one time or more in our lives dont forget that word { think } the next time your faced with something. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day Your Friend In Christ,,,From the Riverbottom ,,,.Ron Prayers for all !

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Another one of God's everlasting promises! Praise his name.

Psalm 18:30

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
